"Kate," I heard Harry say, feeling his fingers run through my hair in an attempt to wake me but that only made me want to stay in bed and when he removed his hand, I pout at the absence.

"Why'd you stop?" I groan as I stretch on the bed. The only light in the room was the lamp next to the bed, the sun wasn't even out yet which meant it was very early.

"You need to wake up, or you'll miss your flight." He chuckles. "I got your stuff ready and an Uber is on their way here so you need to get up."

"Okay, okay." I say as I sit up.

"Woah, please it's too early to get flashed." Harry says, turning his head making me look down to see the shirt which belongs to Harry was pushed to the side and my boob was about to spill out.

"I've got nice boobs," I shrug as I fix the shirt. I decide on just wearing a pair of mom jeans I packed with me along with my white sneakers, leaving Harry's shirt on.

"I hope I get that back." Harry comments.

"You know you won't." I say, I loved this shirt and I planned on keeping it. He doesn't say much and I can't help but sense something was off with him, ever since last night when he told me about getting back with Kendall.

I brush out my tangled hair, my teeth and before I know it, Harry and I are in the back of the Uber, both of us sitting an arms length apart as he typed away on his phone. The ride was awkward and Harry barely even glanced up from his phone.

"So I had a fun week." I speak up. I watch as Harry's eyes glance up from his phone for a slight second before they're back on it again. "I really hope that we get to see you for the holidays,"

"I'll be doing interviews and promotion for a new album during the holidays." He says.

"Oh," I say. "Well your mum always has us over for Sunday Roast and I have to say, it isn't the same without you there. Remember that one time after dinner when -"

I am cut off by Harry's phone ringing and without a word, he picks up. I don't understand why he was being so quiet, he was always very chatty and cheeky every time. Maybe he was having an off day?

Harry's phone call seems to last the whole ride to the airport and I was forced to silence, except for me thanking the driver. Harry grabs my suitcase off the trunk before he tells the driver he wouldn't be long.

"Harry?" I say as I walk next to him. He had his hoodie up, probably to hide himself from a couple of people who were recording us walking inside the building. He hums in response. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," he simply says before he turns to me and gives me a tight lipped smile, I knew it was fake because his dimples didn't show, not even one.

Once in line, I grab his arm and push him out of line. "What's going on?" I raise my eyebrow.

"Nothing's going on Kate." He says, avoiding eye contact.

"So then why won't you look at me?" I cross my arms. Harry bites the inside of his cheek in nervousness. "You've been acting weird since last night, is this because I bumped your lip with my head?"

"No," he shakes his head. "Honestly I'm not being weird, everything is fine."

"Seriously? No, you are being weird and I want you to tell me. I will miss my flight if I have to." I say, standing my ground.

Harry hesitates for a while before nodding his head to the blue plastic chairs. Once we're seated, he rubs his palms against his jeans. "You remember when we were younger and we went to the park because you wanted me to be there when you broke up with Connor Daniels?"

I nod. "Yeah?"

"And he thought that you left him for me, so he broke my arm in return? You visited me at the hospital and you wouldn't leave until we both promised to never put relationships before our friendship?"

"Where's this going?" I ask, sitting up.

He sighs. "Kendall said that the only way her and I could ever get back together was if you and I put space between us." As he says this, my heart drops to my stomach.

"Put space between us?" I ask in disbelief.

"I figured since you and I live in totally different places, that it wouldn't be much of a problem. And I thought about this all night and -"

"Wait," I let out a nervous laugh as I stand, watching his eyes follow my moves. "You're actually considering this?"

"I know how it sounds -"

"Do you? Cause you putting a failed half year relationship before a friendship that's existed since basically forever sounds pretty messed up, Harry."

"Failed relationship?" He furrows his eyebrows. "I expected you to be angry but at least I hoped you'd understand." He says as he stands up as well.

"Understand?" I reply. "How could you ever expect me to understand that you were choosing a girl who not only thought you were cheating on her, but also dumped you over a misunderstanding?"

"I don't know, I guess I just thought that we're such good friends and you'd try to understand at least a bit." His eyebrows furrow.

I run a hand through my roots, trying to process what was going on. "Well I guess that I thought we were too and that neither of us would pull some shit like this."

"Then I guess we thought wrong." Harry's face showed anger and I was sure mine did too.

"Yeah, I guess we did." I say, grabbing my suitcase from him. "Thanks for the trip."

"There's no reason to not be grown ups about this, Kate. That promise was when we were kids."

"Yeah, but when I promise something I tend to keep it wether you're a friend or not. And I hope you understand that I'd never do something like this, I thought you wouldn't either but I guess we were both wrong about that too."

Without another word, I give Harry one last look before I leave through the gate and once out of sight, my face begins to burn up as tears quickly leave my eyes.
