It's been a month since Harry left for New York and all I've been hearing around our neighborhood is how "Harry Styles from Holmes Chapel is going to be the Next Big Thing."
Of course, I already knew that having to grow up with him never shutting up for more than a second - even hearing it from my own parents drove me mad. Apparently me starting uni to become a doctor had little value to them, they cared more about my best friends stardom than their own daughter.
I had already enrolled for my medical classes with the money I've been saving up since I could receive allowances and a few shifts at the bakery a few blocks from my home. My classes were only half day so that would give me enough time to save up more money for college among other things.
Harry and I had been keeping in touch through text messages though he could no longer reply as fast as he used to because of how "busy his schedule" was, so when we talk he usually texts within two hours or the next day.
He told me he's signed to a label and he should be releasing music anytime soon and that I would be the first to hear it.
How do I feel having an almost famous best friend?
Proud.
Am I at all jealous that his career is starting sooner than mine is?
Maybe. But overall, I am over the moon with what he's already accomplished.
