As I stood before my fathers grave, I tried my best not to break down and cry. To wish that the earth swallowed me whole was what I wanted. Just when I thought things were going good for me, something worse always has to happen to prove how much life loves to fuck me over.

I always knew my father was sick, but he's been battling cancer for so long that he seemed fine. Why didn't he say anything? He should've, then we wouldn't have to be here today, but at home drinking tea with milk and honey and as many biscuits as I wanted, despite my mother's requests not to.

I suddenly feel a warm hand over my shoulder making me look to the side to see Harry standing beside me dressed in black. "What are you doing here?" I could've sworn he had shows all this week.

"When my mum told me, I couldn't go on with the shows." He says, looking at my fathers name on his gravestone. "He was like a second father to my after my parents divorced. He taught me how to drive and let me work at his store." I stay quiet. "I don't understand why you didn't tell me."

"Too much was going on, there was very little time and I didn't want to be the reason why you cancel a show."

He shakes his head. "You made me promise to never stop being humble. I told you that you'll always be my reason to keep my feet on the ground and not get too full of myself. Of course I would cancel shows. You are important to me Kate. So anything having to do with you will have something to do with me as well."

As he finishes, my eyes start to water. I hated lying to him and my father being dead wasn't helping me one bit. "I didn't even get to say goodbye to him." I cry as he engulfed me in a hug while rubbing my back.

"I know, I didn't either. And I know he always wanted to watch you become a great doctor and I promise you he'll be proud of you when you achieve that." He says making weight be put on my chest.

Well I might not be able to after all, since all my money went to the medical expenses and the burial.

I will just have to start again.

"He was proud of you too." I say with a smile, looking up at him. He reaches his thumb under my eye and wipes away my tears before a big flash blinded us both making us immediately turn to see men with cameras taking pictures of us.

"Are you fucking kidding me." Harry grits. "This is a funeral, that's a little disrespectful." He says but they keep taking pictures, ignoring him and some even taking pictures of me making me cover my face with my clutch bag.

Harry places a hand on the small of my back and leads us away from the place, joining my mother and his family. "I'm sorry about that, it happens quite a lot but they've officially crossed the line." He glares at them.

"It's not your fault," my mother says. "Thank you so much for coming." She says while giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Of course," he gives a soft smile. "Would you mind if Kate and I went for a cup of tea?" He asks making my mom shake her head.

"Of course not, go ahead, we'll meet you at the house later." My mother says as Harry leads me towards his black Tesla.

"Nice car." I say with a small smile making him do the same.

"Thanks," He says as we drive away. After a few songs on the radio, one of his comes on next making him turn it off immediately.

"What was that for?" I giggle as I watch him turn red. "Look at you so shy all of a sudden."

"I just don't think it's appropriate for now, besides it's still kind of weird to me. Also, I'm getting real tired of my songs, I sing them every night."

"Sounds tiring." I mock. "Couldn't imagine. Do you have it hard little baby?"

"Oh shut up."
