Harry’s POV:
.......................
“Who allowed you to be in here?” I ask in a deathful demanding tone, waiting for this bastard to speak up before my body is on top of his. “I came here searching for you. But that little bird of yours can easily be a distraction of priorities, isn’t that right Styles?” He is pushing it so far that I want to strangle him out of his cheap life, but I can’t. I know if I do anything stupid, Melody will never be happy with me; not like she isn’t already.
I came here to apologise to her, because I can’t keep her away from me anymore. I don’t even know why I said all of these things to her; I am blinded by my parent’s past enough for me to accuse myself of leaving in the future. I’m stupid I admit it, but she? She would never cause any harm to me, she would probably cause it to herself just so I won’t get hurt. That's my Melody...
“As much as I would enjoy using your head as a soccer ball right now, I am will force myself to ask you one more time: Why are you here?” He is amazed by my new improvement, and clearly he seems intimidated by my calm threats. Yes, be afraid you little rat, be very afraid.“You forgot our little deal, Styles? (He walks around me in slow loops, making my tension rise to boiling point) I clearly remember you telling me that you would fight tonight, if I stay away from your precious birdie. You haven’t been answering my calls, so I thought I should stop by and see if you are showing up tonight or not.” I hear a gasp of disappointment from the upstairs, and my heart cracks in half since she finally figured out how Zayn and I are connected.
“I won’t do it, not tonight, and certainly not ever again.” I close my eyes and I hear Melody’s voice in my mind, reminding me calmly to count to ten before doing anything that harms me, or anyone else.
“(He stops looping around me, and stands in front of my face) Is that so? (He smirks) Wow, Styles. I’m amazed by how this chic made you this weak in no time. She sure is your dog leash.” Once his words bash my manhood, I lose my control and pull his shirt’s collar in my two fists.“Shut the hell up, and leave. I told you I would never be dragged back to this world, no matter what happens. I am out of this lifestyle, and I tend to never get back. If you twat think that by showing up here, you could force me; then dream on. I can easily call the cops on your butt and they can restrain you for trespassing. The old life that I had with you is all torn up and burnt to ashes, so don’t try sticking the pages back to my future book.” I hold his collar in my fits and push him out of the door, making sure it is locked behind him. He was silent and I know he will never annoy me by showing up; he knows more than anyone else that I would kill him in seconds if he did again.
I huff my breath to relax, and I feel proud that for once; I didn’t cause harm just like Melody wants. Melody… I stare up, and I find her eyes shaking as tears glide down on her face. I don’t know if she hates me for knowing more about my past, or proud that I didn’t kill the cockroach right now. I rush up the stairs and face her, but she surprises me by laughing with no humor detection what so ever.
“(She sniffles her adorable nose, and speaks in sarcasm) That’s why you never wanted a future with me, isn’t it? You were afraid that your dark side would pull you back to the life you used to have, and causing you to leave me. I’m not going to fight you to do the right thing anymore, Harry… I should have never interfered with your life. You are grown up enough to make your decisions. If you want to go back to fighting in the dirty underground, do it; but don’t bring the dirt sticking in your shoes back in my life…”I can’t talk, because all what she said made me feel like a lost kid in a large crowded mall. She walks away and enters her room, as I pound my hand on the stairs' fence. I don’t know what must I do, but I know that she has finally given up on me…
