…The Next Day (At Night)…

.........................

Melody's POV:

.........................

I have been sitting with Niall at home, the entire time. The rest are all back to their work, including Harry. Harry never stopped working at my place, because if he just disappeared with me; my dad would have a powerful clue. Harry took out my SIM card and trashed it, as he promised he’d get me a new number by the end of today. He also instructed Niall to keep me here, to avoid risking my exposure.

I doubt my dad or Philip would find me here, this neighborhood doesn’t match their standards. Its not a poor area, but still not posh.“Niall!” I call the blue-eyed boy, while I fold my clothes neatly in the closet. He knocks on the door, before entering; such politeness. “What can I do for you my blonde replicate?”He snorts and I giggle at the funny voice. “I’m bored, could I at least go out for a walk?”He rubs his chin in thought, and looks at me.

“Harry will murder me if I let you go outside (I frown and he notices) How about we do something fun here? Do you like cooking?” I furrow my eyebrows, cooking is fun? I shake my head in denial, and reply: “I never entered a kitchen to cook.” His eyes wide in shock, as he asks again: “Never?” I nod silently, and I hear his sigh.

“Do you want to help me cook?” He’s trying so hard to entertain me; I guess I could give cooking a try. “Okay.” I shoot him a smile, and he claps his hands once. “Let’s go countess.” I roll my eyes as his laugh roars.

…Thirty Minutes Later…

“That’s too much of butter!” I whine and he scoffs. “You want a good taste and a full tummy?” I nod to his question. “Then this is how much better you need to golden the chicken cutlets.” I mentally save that information, it turns out that cooking isn’t that bad.“You know? When I first met you, I thought you would spit on me, or something. But you’re so friendly, I guess.”

Niall drapes his arm over my shoulder and rubs them in a brotherly matter. “Thanks, Blondie.” I refer to him like Louis always does, and he chuckles: “Don’t forget you’re a blonde as well.” I sigh while I stir the chicken with the wooden spoon; just like Niall taught me. The doorbell rings, and I hurry to answer it. I smile knowing that Harry must have arrived finally; I have missed him so much all day.

Instead of green glittery eyes, I receive a honey-glazed pair.“(He coax his head, and smirks at me) It’s always an … entertainment to see you here, Melody.” The sound of my name said by him, sends shivers allover my body. I don’t find any words to reply, and thankfully I hear Niall’s flip-flops behind me. Niall drags me behind his back, and stands in front of the door; blocking the entrance of the devilish- attractive rebel.

“What are you doing here, Zayn? You can’t just show up without calling first.” Niall’s arms stiffen, and I feel worry rushing all over my veins. Instead of looking at Niall, he stares at me, allowing his eyes to roam all over my figure. “Nice heels.” He compliments and I whimper closer to Niall’s back; God Harry where are you?

Zayn tries to enter, but Niall’s hands block the entrance attempt. “Chill out, mate. Harry told me to meet him here.” My entire being turns to a lifeless ice sculpture; Harry asked him to come over? But why?! Zayn and Harry hate each other, the last time they were here; Harry was going to kill Zayn.

Niall’s shoulders slump down, and he moves aside, allowing Zayn to step in. Zayn’s nose sniffs the aroma savouring the atmosphere, and he remarks: “It seems I’ll be having dinner here. (He looks at me in a sexual matter) A good meal, and a physical entertainment for tonight, perfect isn’t it?” My fists hold into the back of Niall’s shirt, as the fiend enters. If only Harry is here right now…
