15- In Which There's An Apology

Pan sighed as she paced across the hotel room. It had been several hours since Trunks had stormed off and he wasn't back yet. Pan was conflicted on how to feel. Part of her was angry! How dare he just kiss her like that and storm off! Also, what right did he have to get so angry at her?! Another part of herself still felt guilty. Trunks had strong feelings against his counterpart for some reason. If he would just talk to her and explain things then maybe she would be able to understand it a little more!

One thing Trunks had said was true, though. He and Future Trunks were nothing alike. Future Trunks' kiss was gentle, her Trunks' kiss was rough. Two guys, same genetics but different personalities. Perhaps that was her fault for thinking that just because they were genetically the same person, they would be alike in mannerisms as well. She wondered how similar she was to future Pan...

The door clicked and Pan turned her attention to it just as Trunks walked in. He didn't speak as he walked inside and made his way to the bed.

"Where have you been?" Pan asked. "I've been worried."

Trunks let out a snort that sent an annoying tick through Pan's side. Did he just snort at her? After she had paced the hotel over a hundred times worrying about him?!

"I was out walking," he told her. "I needed to calm down."

"Calm down?" She raised a brow. She didn't understand why, but now she was getting angry. "I don't even understand why you of all people had to calm down in the first place," she told him.

"I don't want to talk about it," he told her with a huff as he turned his back to her.

"You don't get to do that, Trunks!" Pan nearly yelled. "You don't get to just do whatever you want! You can't just throw a tantrum, storm out and then come back and not explain yourself!"

"What exactly did you want me to say, Pan?" He asked with his back still turned.

"I don't know!" Pan huffed as she placed her hands on her hips. "How about explaining that kiss?"

Trunks turned around to face her and his eyes widened. "That kiss was to prove a point!"

"A point about what?!" She demanded.

"That you're naive!" He said. "You're way too trusting when it comes to people! What if he had done something to you?"

"Trunks, don't-" her voice croaked slightly.

"Or not even him! Do you remember what happened on Vegeta-Sei, how you trusted-"

"Stop!" Pan cried. Her body shook as she blinked back some tears. Is that really how he saw her? As someone who couldn't judge right from wrong? "Are you saying I shouldn't trust you?" She whispered.

"Pan, no-"

"But I'm naive, right?" She asked as she clenched her fists. "I have never thought I needed to put my guard up around you, Trunks, or even your counterpart for that matter because I trust you."

She saw his eyes softening. "Panny-"

Pan didn't let him finish as she twirled around and headed towards the door. His hand grabbed her arm as he tried to get her to stop. Pan shook her arm out of his grasp.

"No," she shook her head. "You had your chance to calm down, now let me have mine." She threw open the door before she stormed out and closed it behind her with a heavy sigh.

Pan wasn't sure where she was going to go to calm down. She couldn't go to the gym, with as angry as she was feeling she would destroy something and there was no one there she could spar with that she wouldn't hurt. When her mother was angry, she cleaned and baked, but Pan couldn't do those two things because Trunks was at the hotel. Bulla shopped and pampered herself when she was stressed or angry about something and Pan has always thought that was strange... Now, she wasn't sure. She knew she still had a ton of money left over from her spending a few days prior... Maybe going to a salon wouldn't be that bad after all... She would be able to see what all the hype was about anyways.
