I don't want to be one of those kids
You know the ones I mean
The ones that sit there day and night
At some boring job or school
I don't want to be like them
I'd rather do my own thing
And maybe to you it's not imprtant
But who said you were in charge here
You say my job is a dreamers job
One that no one should have
Apparently being creative is something that i shouldn't be
Well you can just your traditions
All your taxes and lies
All your American dreams
Shove them into the garbage disposal
I have learned two things in this world
Doing something that changes everything
And doing nothing that changes nothing
Isn't worth while
So you can go have your boring jobs
Pay all your taxes and fees
Go support the wars and murders
But that's where you won't find me
I'll take the back roads
I'll leave this world behind
Cause I'd rather be an artist than be a soldier in war
