Did you know i used to dream of love and the feeling of need
Dreamers like me aren't for reality
Precious things to protect
So small and unstable
A house of cards
Balancing on top of a edge
Try not to knock us over
Dreamers like me aren't as well known
Late to life and a little insane
Insane because the world has turned us down
All we have is the moon
Singing in thunderstorms
Proclaiming my love for you
But you can't hear over the rain
I try to show you
But only dreamers can understand one another
It's raining
My love pouring onto you
But you don't understand that means
It's your first time
And I'm taking this slow
I wish you could understand me
I love you
Clouds cry out my love
Thunder tries to catch your attention
Lightning lights your room so you can see things clearly
You never understood what it's like to fly at night
My heart soars and dances in the night
You're unaware it's softly knocking on your window
Asking for access
Asking for yours to come dance with it
Dancing in the moonlight
In the pouring rain
My hearts faster
But time slows down
I don't know how to say this
I don't know how to talk to human
See it's clear
Dreamers and humans are different
Dreamers create, dreamers dance in the night, dreamers kiss on the neck
Not afraid to be romantic
Our smiles are unapologetically ours
Nights and days are the same
Pixies and Wolfs are our friends
The moon lights up our skies
The sun scares away the darkness
Lovers and friends sometimes, unapologetically both
Humans are trapped souls
Longing for freedom
Longing for love
Dreamers often fall for them
And usually it's hard at first
Because a humans never experienced life as a dreamer
Dreamers are a way to freedom
A way out of the cage
I'm a dreamer
A proud one at that
I'm not afraid to fall for you
Not afraid of someone new
You're a human
But I'm trying to change that
I'm not sure how
But I'm not gonna stop
Not until you
Become a dreamer too
I may screw up
I may get you lost
But I'd rather get you lost in the woods
Than lost in your pain
Call me out for my mistakes
I'll take the blame, I'm in this 100%
