Ariel's POV

I walked up the stairs to Jess' room and knocked on her door.

"Who is it?" She called from the other side of the door.

"It's me, Ariel. I would like to talk to you." She opened the door, now in a sports bra.

Jesus Christ why are you doing this to me?

"Hey, it's the girl with the staring problem." She teased at me, making my face turn bright red.

"I'm just messing with you, come on in."

I walked into her room that it's fulled with clothes all on the floor and her bed was all a mess.

I noticed there was a horrible smell in the room and covered my nose quick.

"Oh my god what's that smell?" I asked, my hands covering my nose.

"Oh that's just my sandwich that was there for about 6 months." She pointed at the moldy sandwich that was on her desk.

She grabbed a can of beer and offered some to me, I politely declined. She opened the can and began to chug.

"So what brings you here? In my paradise." She pulled a seat for me as she sat down and continued to drink.

"Umm Sam was telling me about you and I came to ask you questions myself."

"Mhmm. What's the question?" She asked.

"Why were you trying to kill me earlier? Did I do something wrong?" She stopped drinking and just looked at me with that intimidating glare. I started to shake in fear, since I'm in a room with knifes, machetes, and hatchets, she can hunt me down any moment.

"Why are you asking me this?" She stare fixed towards me, making me shit myself on the spot. Jesus she knows how to make someone feel scared for their life.

"I mean, I don't know. You found me in the woods and was chasing me down with a knife like a psychopath until the black cat saved my life. Like why? Why me? Because I have a family back home and if something happens to me, I don't know what they're going to think." I went off and Jess just sat there, nodding her head in agreement.

"Plus, my older sister is the town's sheriff, she'll have a search and rescue for me and YOU will be the main suspect." I boastfully crossed my arms and gave her a cocky smirk. All she did was just stare at me, emotionless.

"You're right, you did nothing wrong. I just have the urge to murder humans. Why? Huh, well there's a story to tell. I'll try not to bore you with the details." She got up and walked towards a shelf that has a box on it. She opened it and pulled out a necklace with a pentagram with red rubies on it.

"Do you know what this is?" She handed the necklace to me and I took it in my hands.

"A pentagram."

"Mhm, and what does that usually represent?" She folded her arms as she walked around the room.

"The devil?" I looked at her as she nodded.

"More like...The Dark Lord. I have that because he gave me a task. A duty that I have to do for eternity. See, I'm a shapeshifter. I can morph into any living thing that has existed, both man and monster kind. Animals as well. With my ability, I can take that as an advantage and hunt. If I shapeshift into a rabbit, no one, not even a human, can think twice that it's actually me. Now when I found you, I wasn't in a different form. I was just walking home since I just killed a family of five from your world."
