Ariel's POV
I sat on the bed, anxiously waiting for Jess to give me the coast clear. In the meantime, I played with Onyx for company and comfort.

BOOM BOOM BOOM

I sat up, as there was banging on the door.

Oh my god finally she's back.

I got up and walked towards the door, but Onyx stood in my way, meowing aggressively with a high pitch.

"Onyx move out of the way." I tried to move him but he still blocked the door.

Ariel, it's me, Jess. The coast is clear, you can come out now.

I reached for the door knob, but Onyx started to hiss at who's at the other side of the door.

I took a step back and thought to myself,

Onyx wouldn't act like this if it was really Jess on the other side.

I had an idea, I'm going to look through the key hole.

I leaned down on my knees, with one eye, I looked through the hole, and let out a huge scream.

There on the other side, was the Bubak.

Jess' POV
     As I ran towards the house, I heard Ariel let out a shriek.

"I'M COMING FOR YOU ARIEL!" I yell out as I ran full speed. I entered the house and it was a mess everywhere.

"Eenie, Meeney, Mo, go find him." They barked and went looking for the beast as I walked around the house.

I heard footsteps coming, as I quickly shapeshifted into a small house mouse to hide in the cracks on the walls.

I scurried into a small hole and watched as the ugly ass hole walked along the halls. I noticed the sack and that it's bigger than before.

Something is inside, and it's moving.

That better not be who I think it is.

The Bubak turned at a corner as I crawled out of the space.

All of a sudden I heard a hissing sound behind me, it was Onyx and he began to attack me. I ran across the floor, trying to get away from this abomination.

"Onyx chill it's just me!" I said when I totally forgot that he can't hear my voice but just a squeak.

I quickly transformed back to my own self, panting for air. Onyx stopped and sat down.

"It's just me man, damn you trying to kill me or what?" I got up and dusted the dirt off of me while Onyx started to meow at me.

"Yeah sure you're sorry." I walked towards the direction the Bubak took as Onyx continued to meow while following behind me.

"What happened, how did he get in? I thought I locked all the doors and windows!" I frantically ran after them, towards the front door that was busted down.

Fuck

I said to myself as I called my dogs to stay by my side, as well as Onyx, to face the beast.

I looked around and in the distance, I see them getting into the woods.

Come on Jess, think!

I looked around to find something to defend myself when I saw, my lighter that was next to my ash tray from the night before.

Huh? Well this should do the trick.

"You guys stay here, I'll handle this." I ordered the animals as I placed the lighter in my pocket and ran after them to catch up.
