Wait...
What???
Are you telling me that he's...
No, there's no way what so ever.
"Dominick huh? I don't think I've ever met you before." I started.
"Oh I'm not from around here at all." He's looking down at his lap. He looks like he's about to cry.
I stayed quiet, I felt that I made the conversation worse.
"They hate me, I know they do, this is all my fault." He sobbed harder now.
"Do you mind telling me who hates you?" I asked, worried to know the answer.
"I have three girls, I have twins and I have a young girl."
I took a deep breath before asking my next question.
"Is your young child named Ariel by any chance?"
He looked up at me, teary eye, with a shocked expression on his face.
"Yes, yes she is, how do you know?"
"Because I know her."
His breath was short, he was trying to contain himself. I can tell he's gone through a lot.
"How is she? Is she doing ok?" He asked eagerly.
"She's doing alright. She's safe. So is the other two." I paused for a second, thinking about the interaction between Lora and I. Man I fucking hate her.
"Did she ever talked about me?"
I gave myself time to think before answering, thinking back about what Ariel has told me.
"She just said that you left them."
He looked away, he covered his mouth with his cuffed hands.
"This is my fault. They hate me."
"I don't think that's the case." I said, he looked up at me.
"You know why you're here, it's not your fault, they took you away when your girls needed you the most. I know they'll forgive you. Trust me, they will." I comfort him as he nodded.
I know how it feels when you feel someone has gave up on you. I always feel that way with Sam. I always would be doing some messed up shit, and she just looks at me disappointed. But, I know my truth, and I know my past. I should take it as a lesson. I should take it as a learning experience for the future, my future.
I want to go home. I want to start over. I want to improve myself. I let my past get the best of me.
I owe everyone a big, long, overdue, apology.
I laid my head back against the wall and closed my eyes tightly.
Sam where are you? I need you right now...
Ariel's POV
We all made it to a gate that's surrounded by black moss and stones. It looked like it's a cave that's been closed off by a metal gate."Alright, you guys need to follow my instructions. I know what happens down there and one small step can lead to a disaster. Am I being clear?" Sam lined us up and told us. We all nodded in agreement.
She turns to face the dark ominous metal gate and chants something under her breath. In a split second, the gates of hell opened. Hot air came rushing out of the cave.
I gulp down my spit as I realized I'm about to enter Hell.
"Oh and one more thing," Sam turned to face us.
"Whatever you do, do not and I mean, DO NOT talk to the dead. Don't look at the dead, don't even touch it. These are angry souls and any contact with anyone or anything can be deadly."
"How deadly?" I asked.
"You'll be trapped in Hell, and there's no escape. So I suggest you don't do anything and follow behind me. You have your ring on right?" I looked down at my hand with the ring Sam gave me from the first moment she met me. I nodded yes and followed right behind her.
"And we all have to stay together, you can easily get lost in here."
And with that, we all entered the cave and walked down the steps to Satan's lair.
Hang in tight Jess, we're coming for you.
