Lora's POV
"Officer Sheldon! We have an emergency!" One of the men woke me up from my slumber as I groaned impatiently."What is it now?"
"She escaped."
"What? Who did?"
"Your suspect." My eyes widen as I grabbed my gun and placed it in my holster. The officer lead the way to the prison cell she was staying in. I walked in and the first thing I noticed is the hatch wide open.
"How did she escape through there?" I asked, huffing air out in frustration.
"Officer, you need to see this." Another cop called me over to an office of one of the guards and saw his body laying lifeless on the ground.
My body is shaking in full rage as I see one of my guards dead on the floor. I shoved my way through them and ran towards my car.
I hopped in and sped out of the parking lot, sirens echoing throughout the quiet neighborhood.
Jess' POV
I ran full speed towards the tree to go back to Luna Falls when I hear sirens approaching behind me.Fuck man.
I quickly hid behind a parked car and waited for the car to drive pass me.
I sound like a broken record right now, but my body is in so much pain I just want to go home.
The car stopped abruptly in front of the parked car and all I have in my head is either fight or flight. Fuck she knows where I am. She probably saw me hide when she turned the corner.
I can't fight right now so I have to make a run for it, plus I'm not that far from the tree.
I got up and ran away from the car. Behind me, I hear someone getting out of the car, cocking a gun, and shoot me.
The bullet hit my left tricep, I cried in pain as I stopped and held onto my arm.
I turned around and saw Lora, pointing the gun at me, slowly walking towards me.
"Get in the car, or else I'll shoot."
"Please, let's just talk about this." I pled.
Lora laughs and dropped her gun.
"You're so full of shit, you know that right?" She insulted me. I rolled my eyes and let go of my bleeding arm. She watched my every move I make.
"Been told, don't give a shit. So you can gladly suck my dick." With the little confidence that I have left, I shrugged and approached to her slowly, trying to look intimidating.
Lora's POV
Is she trying to act brave? What is she doing right now?
I watched her as she walked towards me. My hand holding onto my gun in case she tries something funny.
"What are you going to do? Hurt me?" I asked. All she responded with is a chuckle that sent chills down my spine.
"I wouldn't do such a thing to hurt Ariel like that, since you've caused her pain already."
"Shut up, don't fucking bring this up."
"Ahh but you know it's true." She gave me a sinister smile that made me want to puke. I drew the gun again to her face, and she didn't even flinched.
She grabbed my hand and moved the gun to her chest where her heart is.
"Go ahead. Shoot." She ordered me. I didn't like that she was telling me what to do. I looked up at her and she was staring into my eyes.
I began to shake in fear. Why? I have no idea. All my courage went down the drain. I dropped the gun and cussed under my breath.
She started to back away from me and laughed to herself.
"That's what I thought." She continued to chuckle to herself as she kept on backing up from me. I turned around and slowly walked towards my car, when I quickly turned and shot a bullet to her face, making her fall to the ground on her back.
I let out a sigh of relief.
Did I finally kill her?
I tip toed to her body when she began to move. I froze in my tracks as I watched her get up from the sidewalk.
What? How is this even possible?
I looked like a deer in headlights watching her every move.
She moved her mouth, only to reveal a bullet between her teeth.
Holy shit.
She spit the bullet on the floor and stared back at me.
"Sorry to break it to you, but you can't kill me."
"Who are you?" I asked. She stood from her spot and took a deep breath before answering.
"My name is Jess Swift, I've always been known as a troubled thing, but I love it." She gave me a little smirk that almost tighten my core a bit.
She turned and sprinted full speed ahead behind her, away from me.
"Hey get back here!" I yelled out and I chased after her. Despite the fact that I stabbed her leg, she can still run fast.
I ran into the park near my house and lost sight of her. I took out my flashlight and patrol the whole park. It took my almost an hour to walk around the place. I decided to call for back up on my walkie talkie when I came across this large tree that I've never seen before.
How long had this been here?
I walked around the tree and examined how old it looked. The bark was peeling off and if you look up, the leaves block the light of the moon. It can probably block sunlight really well I assume.
I could have sworn I saw her ran towards this tree for some reason.
I waited by my patrol car when I got a call from Lisa. I answered it as I sat down on the driver's seat.
"Hey what's up?"
Where the hell is Ariel??
The blood on my face fell on my ass. Where's my little sister?
"I thought she was with you."
No she's not home. I just came home and I thought she's asleep by now.
I stayed silent for a while, leaving Lisa on the other line hanging. I quickly hang up and started to panic.
Ariel where the fuck are you?
