Manny's POV
I've been staying outside for almost a while now. My axe laying right beside me. There had been moments where I would drift to sleep, but I try to keep myself awake. It's pitch black, and I mean it's dark out. The clouds are now blocking the blue moon's shine.
However, I do have night vision, so I'm not entirely complaining a lot.
I rested my head against the hard, stiff log as I slowly slip into slumber.
Jess' POV
I started to wake up from my sleep and rubbed my eyes together to get rid of the tiredness.Fuck I'm still sleepy.
I sat up and turned to the girls who're sleeping beside me. I yawned and stretched my arms and legs out and proceeded to lay back down.
As my head hit the pillow, I heard a branch or some twig snap.
It could be an animal.
I thought to myself as I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep.
The snapping got louder, closer.
I got frustrated, but laid there to listen anymore sound.
It's now dead quiet.
"Pfft, I'm going crazy. Whatever." I said to myself as I turned to my side and attempted to sleep once again.
I've laid there for a few moments before I heard some gurgling sound.
My eyes shot wide open and I bolted up.
Ok I'm so wide awake now.
I sat there in silence and listened very carefully.
Even the slightest movement, I can hear it.
The gurgling sound happened again, and this time, it's more closer.
That shit is coming from outside the tent.
I slowly moved towards the exit of the tent and peeked out through the crevice.
What I saw was utterly disgusting I swear to the all mighty himself, I almost puked.
Right in front of me, moving along our campsite, is a white, lanky, naked creature just casually walking around our tents. It barely had hair at the top of its head and it's so skinny, you can see it's bones. It looked like it's about to poke through through their skin.
Bro, what the fuck is that and where the fuck is Manny??
I grabbed my hoodie and frantically searched for my pocket knife, but with tough luck, I don't have it. I forgot to bring it with me in case of a situation like this would occur.
It made the gurgling sound again, this time more louder. I watched it as it started to move forward Manny, who's passed out.
Manny wake up!
I studied the creature as it crept slowly towards him.
Wait, that has to be that thing from the water.
The monster lift it's sharp claws in the air, about to stab Manny in the chest.
Oh no you won't.
I ran out of the tent and tackled the creature, causing Manny to wake up.
The monster clawed my back, making me scream in agonizing pain.
