A/N: Okay so I don't know if you guys like it when I put on pictures or not, so.... let me know. There have been a few that I lazily didn't respond to, BUT I llllooooovvvvveeeeee talking and so when you guys comment- it just makes me real real happy. I hope everyone likes this story. I don't get very many comments or votes or anything, but then again I only have 9 chapters and yeah.
I really put a lot of thought into this and I have a lot planned for this story's future. Sorry if it's boring so far and sorry if I'm lacking on updates. But I really am trying hard! I've been reading other stories and listening to lots of music to see if I get any inspiration or ideas. Is that weird? Okay, sorry for my excessive rambling. Enjoy:
Everyone is gathered around where the box will come up. I'm nervous. The confidence that came with the success of my plan is starting to wear away. I just now realized that my success wasn't writing the note, it will be getting it into the box. That's the challenge.
When the box finally arrives, Newt and Alby jump down ontop of it and open up the cage's doors.
Inside are dozens of things, little and big. There's even something living in there. I think it's a pig.
The pig starts squealing and running around, knocking things down and making a mess of the supplies. Newt grabs it and puts it on the grass. Then gets back to going through the supplies with Alby.
First it just stands there and looks around. Then it squeals and runs. Some gladers chase it, a few trip and fall.
A lot of the Gladers laugh and point as three guys chase the squealing thing around and around.
The pig and its followers run around the box a few times, and then, right before they pass me up for the third time, the pig turns right. My eyes widen as the whole stampede comes running at me.
Before I can move out of the way, the pig runs between my legs and I am knocked down by the boys. They all pile up, me on the bottom. The boy right on top of me hits his forehead on my eye.
Some gasp, some laugh. I hear one voice in particular. An accent yells, "Hey! What's going on up there?!" Obviously Newt.
I groan under the heavy weight and pain in my head and they all start getting off. Once the boy that was directly on top of me gets up, a hand reaches toward me and I take it.
It jerks me up, and I crash into the body.
"What the hell?" I say and put a hand on my eyebrow in pain.
"Sorry, you're a bit lighter than the others." It's Newt.
"Now what's wrong with that pretty little head?" he takes my wrist and gently pulls my hand away from my face.
Pretty little head? Pretty?
I squint up at him, trying to read his expression.
"Well, looks like that might get a bit bruised. Who did this?" he yells the last part out to know one in particular.
Everyone looks at some kid with brown, shaggy hair. He stands there with his head hanging.
"Finn, bloody watch where you're going next time, shank!" Newt yells at him.
"Where's the pig?" Newt asks as he walks behind me. Apparently the person standing behind me caught it after it ran under my legs.
My eyes finally adjust and I don't have to squint anymore. I look straight ahead at the kid named Finn.
He looks like he doesn't even care. As soon as he recognizes me staring at him, he smirks.
Seriously?! I think and flip him the bird.
