The Last Day

||  Salvatore's House  || Scarlett's POV

Elijah, E, Stefan and I are talking.

"Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse." Elijah says.

"The girls said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus." Stefan says.

"Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it... He'll be a true hybrid." Elijah says as Damon joins us.

"Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie, hell Scarlett can jump in too." Damon says.

"Damon..." Stefan says.

"No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying. We don't know how much power Scarlett can use." E says.

"I'll write her a great eulogy." Damon says.

"It's not an option, Damon." I say.

"All right, how do we break this curse?" Stefan asks.

"Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know." Elijah says.

"The moonstone." Stefan says.

"A Fairchild witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each." Elijah explains.

"And where do I fit into it?" Elena asks.

"The final part of the ritual." Elijah takes a wooden box from the shelf. "Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelganger... To the point of your death."

Damon looks at Elena. Stefan takes Elena's hand. She looks at him. He opens the box and takes a jar from it.

"And that's where you come in." She says.

"This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation." Elijah says.

"So I'll be dead?" Elena asks.

"And then you won't." Elijah says.

"That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" Damon looks at Elena.
"You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?" Damon asks.

"Those rings only work on humans. The doppelganger's a supernatural occurrence. Odds are, the ring won't work." Elena says.

"I'll take those odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work, Elena?" Damon asks.

"Then I guess I'll just be dead." She says. Damon looks at Stefan. He shrugs. Damon looks at Elijah and leaves.

"Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs to do this? Does he have a werewolf?" I ask.

"Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for over a thousand years. If he doesn't already have a werewolf, my guess is by tonight, he will." Elijah says. Damon and Stefan leave.

"Scarlett." I turn around and see Dean.

"Hey. What are doing you?" I ask.

"Your mom called." He says, I walk up to him and hug him. "We can leave Doll, you say the word we take everyone and we go on the road." He says.

"That sounds wonderful but I can't, I need to tell you something." I whisper into his ear.

"Scarlett, It's Carol." Damon says walking in.

"What?" I pull away from Dean.

"Liz called, Carol was in an accident. They can't find the Lockwoods." He says.

"Where is she." I ask.

"The hospital." He says,

"I need keys." I say walking towards him, he hand me his.

"Want me to go?" Dean asks.

"I don't think it's a good idea." I say, he nods his head understandingly.

||  Mystic Falls' hospital  ||

"Tyler, Jake." I greet coming into Carol's hospital room.

"Hey." Tyler says.

"Gilbert." Jake greets.

"Hi, how are you guys?" I ask Tyler.

"Okay, my moms sleeping, she's okay." He says.

"You shouldn't be here Ty. Klaus is preforming the sacrifice, he's going to want to use you." I say. 

"Jake turned too," Tyler says and I sigh.

"You guys need to leave, get out of town. Now." I say.

Tyler and Jake look at their mom and goes out of her room. I trail behind him.

"What are you doing here?" Jake asks.

"I should be asking you that. I told you not to come." She says.

"She's our mother. We had to." Tyler says.

"Now we have to get out of here; Lock ourselves up before tonight." She says.

"No, the ritual is tonight you guys need to leave." I say. Tyler turns around and hug me.

"I'll be okay." He says.

"We'll be okay Gilbert." Jake says. I nod my head.

"Go." I say, my look at Jules. "Take care of them please." I say.

"I will." She nods her head and they leave. I see Ivory coming. "How's Carol?" I ask.

"She'll be okay." She says.

"Klaus did this?" I ask in confirmation.

"I have a feeling it's a trap." She says.

"Mom you called Dean?" I ask, she nods her head. "Why? Klaus will use them as leverage." I say.

"He's here to help, Elijah called. Have you told the Salvatore's and the rest of your friends?" She asks.

"No, I don't know how." I say. She nods her head.

"Take your time. You should go spend your day with Dean and Sam." She says.

"Okay, I'll see you later." I say.

"Be careful." She says, "You too." I say walking away.

||  Somewhere  ||

After spending the day with Dean and Sam I had to say goodbye and leave with Greta. E, Greta and I are walking in the dark.

"Where are we going?" E asks.

"This way." Greta says.

"You're Luka's sister, aren't you? I heard about you. He and your father were looking for you." I ask.

"Well, they were wasting their time. I wasn't lost." Greta says, Elena trips on a rock. I pick up Elena.

"God, I can't see anything." E says. Greta lights fire all around them. We see someone on the ground. We rushes over to Jenna.

"Jenna? Jenna, Jenna! Jenna? Hey, hey, Jenna! Jenna!." Elena says as I can't find a pulse.

"Oh, my God. No. Jenna! No!" I say, I look at Greta, taking my bracelet away.

"What did you do?" I ask.

"He killed her? Why? I did everything that he asked." E says crying. Jenna wakes up.

"She's not dead. She's in transition." Greta says.
