Chapter 4.

Kendra's POV

"Hurry up!" Mrs. Blake screamed from the kitchen, I was still upstairs gathering my things together, making sure i got every last bit. I never got my journal back, of course. After I made sure all of my things were all packed and ready to go, I headed downstairs.

"You'll be late," mrs. Blake hissed as she opened up the front door. All of my luggage was already packed in the car so I just had my purse with all the things I needed for the flight. Phone, book, passport and airplane ticket. I was dragging my feet as I walked and I barely had my eyes open, it was 7 am.

"good to be leaving, right?" She asked me in a snotty voice as she pulled out of the driveway.

"Yeah," I said with annoyance in my voice. I was so happy to be getting out of here but I couldn't stop thinking about Zayn.

I'm never going to see him again. His amazing sparkling dark features, his laugh and glorious smile. It made me want to break down thinking about it but really, who would want to fall in love with someone who has a serious problem like mine? No one! Zayn probably didn't even want to try and have a chance with me, maybe he already had a girlfriend.

"Did you like your stay?" Her edgy voice broke through my thoughts.

"No," I replied back harshly. I didn't feel bad at all for saying it though. It was the absolute worst "stay" in my whole life, I never want to even come back to London because of it.

She didn't reply, I wouldn't of either though if I was her. I started to look out the window, watching all the blurred imagines pass as we drove. Sylvie and her brothers were at home, along with the their dad. No one wanted to say goodbye to me at the airport but I'm glad about it, the less time I spent with them, the better.

I felt the car slow down as we pulled into the London airport, I took a deep breath, preparing myself for the long plane ride back to New York City. She pulled up to the main entrance, "get out," she growled through her teeth. I obeyed as I walked to the back of the car. She clicked a button which opened the trunk of the car, I got out all my luggage before I shut it with a loud bang.

I went to go through the main entrance but then I noticed Mrs. Blake gawking at me through the car window.I flew up my hand and gave her the middle finger, hoping she'd get the message that I hate her and her family. That's the last time ill ever see her.

I walked into the airport, strolling my 2 suitcases along with me and holding my purse. I went over to where you would put your luggage before your flight and set everything up. Next I had to go through the long line of security before I could go on my flight.

I was walking through the crowds of people when someone walked into me and made me drop all my papers. "Sorry!" He apologized as he dropped to the ground to retrieve all my papers.

"Uh it's fine," I said sheepishly as I bent down to grab all the remaining ones.

"Here!" He handed me my papers that he gathered up as he looked into my eyes.

He had dark features, glistening green eyes and dark brown hair. "American?" I asked as I took my papers from him and stood up, I noted his American accent.

"Yup, I'm going to New York, I came here for vacation," he gave me an unbelievable bright smile.

"I'm going to New York too!" I beamed as I gave him a weak smile.

"Woah, are you traveling alone?" He said with his low seductive voice.

"Yeah!" I replied back to him.

I don't know why but something made me attracted to him. He had an amazing scent, he was wearing a plaid blue and grey shirt with tan khakis. But why would he be interested in me? I'm nothing special. "What's your name?" He asked politely.

"Kendra, and yours?" I asked back.

"Taylor. And Kendra? What a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl," I could tell I immediately started to blush.

"Thanks! Well I need to go through the security line, ill see you on the plane?" I gestured to the long line to the left of us.

"Sure! See ya!" He said as he walked over to one of the food stands, probably buying food.

I kept thinking about everything. Zayn. The secret. What was I going to do about all of this? It was giving me a huge headache. I looked around at everyone, I wonder what they were all thinking too. I wonder what problems they had also.

"Ma'am," I heard a heavy British accent say as I broke out of thought. I was next in line, it went fast.

"S-sorry," I hesitated as I put my purse into a container as it went through the machine to scan it for any weapons and such.

"Go ahead," a man said as he gestured me to walk through the scanner. I walked through, "you're clear, get your things," he snapped his fingers. Pushy. I got my stuff and started walking to where my plane would be boarding. A32.. I was located by A1, so it would be a bit of a walk.

My arm was hurting, badly. I knew why but I tried to come up with other excuses so it wouldn't seem as bad as it really is. I didn't want to go back to when I was 14 and have to go through everything I already went through to get better again.

"Hey," I heard Taylor say as he ran up next to me.

"Hi," I said back with a smile.

"Our boarding is up ahead," he said as he pointed to a sign that said A32. "Yeah thanks!" I said with a giggle. "So why'd you come here? If you don't mind me asking," he said with curiosity in his voice.

"Too much to say, ill tell you on the plane," that's all I said to him. He gave me a nod, understanding it would probably be a long story.

I looked at my phone clock, it was 730 am. Only 30 more minutes until I would be up in the air flying back to see my family. When we arrived to our boarding site, I sat down immediately, my feet hurt a ton, Taylor sat down in the seat next to me.

"What'd you bring to pass time?" He asked while taking out an iPod with earphones.

"What you have and a book," I answered while pulling my book out of my purse, that read "The Notebook."

"I read that book before," he said surprisingly.

"Really?" I asked with shock in my voice.

"Yeah..embarrassing I guess," he said as his cheeks got red.

"No it's cute," I said back to him with a smile.

The rest of the time was spent waiting until we could board the plane, it was filled with small talk. Taylor never ran out of things to talk about and that's exactly how Zayn was too. "Flight A32 to New York City will be boarding now," the loud speaker said and immediately everyone started packing into yet another line.

Taylor and I both got up, it interrupted our talk about our family. He was an only child and lived with his mom because his parents were divorced. The line seemed to move fast and before I know it I was already to the lady collecting the tickets. I handed mine to her, she gave it a stamp and then I was off.

Taylor and I sat down in the back of the big plane, getting all set up with our things. "You know, you're beautiful," he whispered to me as I was taking my purse off my shoulder.

"Thank you," I whispered back with a smile. And then we spent the rest of the flight talking, laughing and sleeping.
