Kendra's POV

I woke up to the vibration of my phone against my palm, it was from an unknown number. I looked over at Zayn who was sound asleep then I returned my attention back to the clock on my phone, it was 3:38 am. Should I answer?

My curiosity got the best of me as I slid the arrow on my iPhone screen to answer, "hello?" I said calmly into the phone.

"Go outside. Now." I heard a muffled voice on the other line demand.

"Wh-what?" I hesitated. I was barely awake and I didn't feel like taking orders from an anonymous caller.

"Go outside of the hotel. Alone." The voice hissed.

"Why would I do that?" I had a terrible feeling in my gut.

I started to nudge Zayn, hoping he'd wake up. I know he could make me feel better easily, it was probably a prank call, right?

"Leave your hotel if you want to see day light again," then the call ended and I let the device tremble onto my lap. I never should of answered.

Was that a threat? I started to shake Zayn more vigorously now, I had fear tucked into my emotions, as well as a horrible feeling.

"What babe?" He jumped up with his mellow sleepy voice relieving my ears.

"I just got a blocked phone call saying to leave the hotel, or else I'll," I shivered at the sound of the deep roughled voice playing back in my mind, "die.."

Zayn looked at me with wide eyes and took my phone out of my lap and set it on the headboard. "Is that all?"

I gulped, "yeah.. They told me to go alone too," I said fragily.

"Baby, it's nothing. Just someone trying to scare you, okay? You're with me, you're safe." He grabbed me as we laid back down, covering up with the heavy blankets.

Something didn't feel right though, "Zayn, I think we should leave the hotel," I whispered loudly.

"You're fine baby," he soothed me. Was I though? We're any of us?

"Okay.." I said weakly, shutting my eyes. It was all a prank probably, no big deal.

Seconds felt like hours, dragging along slowly. I laid awake, not being able to sleep. Even with Zayn holding me closely, I wasn't able to.

I looked over at the digital alarm clock that was placed on the dresser across the room. It read, 4:12 am, in big red neon lights. I knew I wasn't able to get any sleep tonight.

Suddenly, my ears were overwhelmed with the sound of ringing coming from the building. I jumped up, Zayn did as well. "What is that?" I yelled over the loud, annoying tone that was hurting my ear drums.

Zayn jumped out of bed, "the fire alarm!" He shrieked.
