Kendra's POV
I woke up to my phone vibrating on my head board. I immediately jumped up, hoping it was Zayn.
I read the caller ID and felt my heart speed up, it was just who I wanted it to be.
"Hey love," I heard his fluent accent flow through the phone line.
"Hi!" I said back, coughing a bit to get rid of my morning voice.
"I set up the concert and everything," he replied back.
I could not believe how lucky I was to find someone to do this for me. Zayn was my hero. This surgery could change my life forever.
"Oh my god.. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" I beamed out. I couldn't stop smiling, I was actually happy for some time in my life.
"Anything for you baby," he said back, I felt my stomach flutter a little more.
"Can you tell me the details so I know when to go?" I asked him, I obviously had to go to my own fundraising concert.
"Central park, in 3 hours! They know to let you and whoever you bring backstage, I already arranged that!"
I looked at the clock, it was 1 o'clock. God I slept in late. "Okay! Got it! See you then!" I replied back.
"I love you," he said softly before I was about to hang up.
"I love you too babe," I clicked the end button and hung up the phone with a big smile.
I headed down stairs, in a daze. I opened up the refrigerator but nothing looked good, I turned around and was startled by my mom standing behind me. "Woah, you scared me!" I jumped a little.
"How was your sleep?" She asked me with a weak smile forced across her features.
"Fine but something huge is going to happen today mom!" I yelled back with excitement.
"What?" She answered, seeming confused.
"My friend is in a band and he's going to do a concert to raise money for my surgery!" I exclaimed.
She starred at me with wide eyes, "honey, don't get your hopes up, they'll only raise 500 to 1000 dollars, at the most," she was totally doubting my connections.
"No mom! This band has performed at the Olympics and Vma's, they're huge!" It suddenly looked like hope reached her heart.
"That's fantastic!" She beamed, giving me a hug. "I'm going to go tell your father," she ran upstairs. Zayn really did change my life forever.
