Kendra's POV

"Just fill out this paperwork!" The lady at the hospital counter ordered me to do, I nodded and walked over to the waiting area with a pen in my grip.

I went into my purse and turned off my phone, Zayn wished me good luck a little bit a go and sent a long message about how much I meant to him, it gave me something to smile about.

I started to go over the paperwork, since I was 18 I was on my own with this. My mother was sitting next to me, tapping her shoe looking at a magazine. My brother, his girlfriend and my dad were to be coming after the surgery. Oh, and Taylor too..

After I was done with the paperwork, I handed it in back to the lady and sat down again. I was starting to get a horrible migraine because of how much I was worrying about.

"Everything will be okay," my mom could tell I was in distress, she gave my hand a tight squeeze. Was it though? Would everything really be okay?

"Yep," I gave her a weak smile and kept my eyes locked onto the ground. I was about to get surgery that could either kill me or heal me!

The waiting room was pretty much empty besides an old man with his wife. I've always wanted a relationship that would last that long.

A door creaked open and a figure stood out, "Kendra Orlando, we're ready for you," a young lady with short blond hair called to me.

I stood up from my seat, gave my mom one last hug and kiss and then went to get prepped for surgery.
