Today was the day we were leaving the Nebula Ocean and I knew it was a sad day for Lorelei. This place has a place in her heart now. Lorelei is hardly ever in the house. Only to sleep now but even then sometimes she doesn't sleep in her.

On more than a few occasions I have found her passed out on a towel. I always pick her up and put her in her bed. She sometimes she wakes up and gets mad at me for moving her but I laugh it off as she swears that she wasn't asleep when I moved her.

As I walk out of the house I see Lorelei sitting out on the beach. I go and sit next to her and she continually stares out at the horizon. The only thing she does that acknowledges my presence is leaning her head across my lap.

Her hair smells like the sea spray scent that you always get from being at the beach for to long.

"We have to leave soon but don't worry, I'm sure you would enjoy the mountains."

"Yeah I know." She sighs.

I start to braid her long hair.

"We are coming back here right?" She asks.

"Of course Lore."

"Okay." She smiles up at me.

She turned towards me messing up her braid.

"Where did you learn how to braid hair?"

"After babysitting Luna Rose several times a month I have picked up a few things."

"Like what?"

"The easiest way to put a six year old to sleep is telling her that her parents will be coming home soon."

"Really?"

"Always works for me."

"You remember that Elijah." Lorelei smiles at me.

"I'm sure I will."

Lorelei looks up into my eyes and seems to be looking at faraway places.

"Should we go get in the jet now?" She asks.

"Ehh."

"It's been waiting for an hour."

"Wait seriously?"

Lorelei laughs and stands up. When she is up she grabs my arm and pulls me up.

"Lets go husband. We have a flight to catch." Her eyes glinted as she took off for the jet.

I ran after her and she got onto the flight.

"Finally you decide to come. I was afraid I would have to throw you on the airplane myself." August groans.

"Quit whining. You are just mad that you don't get to be on vacation." I teased him.

August rolls his eyes but hides a smile. Then the plane begins moving. Lorelei grabs my hand as we take off in the air. We hit a little turbulence and Lorelei squeezes my hand tighter.

"Hey, what's wrong Lore?"

"Nothing, can get some water." Her voice sounded a little hoarse.

"Sure."

When I get up Lorelei pulls her legs to her chest and lays her head down. I think there is more going on than she is letting on. In the back of the plane there is a mini fridge and a pantry that is always stocked with drinks and snacks.

That is also a reason I like flying with August, he always has food with him. I open the fridge and pulls out a bottle of water. When I walk back to Lorelei she is still clutching her legs to her chest.
