I was just sitting in my room when Alexandra walked in. She seemed wary of something. I didn't want to see her. I had done all she had wanted me to do and now I don't understand why she is back.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as she sat down in a small chair.

"I want to show you something Elijah but I understand that you don't want to see me however, you need to see this."

"Please, don't do this to yourself Alexandra." I groaned into my hands.

"You hold me accountable for things I didn't do."

"I hold you accountable for things you did do."

"Fine, what do you hold me accountable for?"

"The war for one."

"I had no control over that."

"If you had just stayed and completed your duties we wouldn't have a war."

Alexandra sucked in her breath as if she was trying to hold in what she was about to say.

"The plague."

"Okay, that one wasn't me."

"Alexandra you were the Highest Order's second in command. How was it not you."

"My brother oversaw all battle strategy. I looked after our people. Plus the plague was our last resort, like your nuclear bomb was."

"Then how come almost everyone in our colony caught the plague."

"Because your soldiers were to busy poking their noses in stuff that wasn't any of their business!"Alexandra sighed exasperated.

I considered that for a second. Was it possible I really was holding Alexandra accountable for things that weren't her fault?"

"You threatened to kill Lorelei on several occasions."

"But I never did. You see I'm not this horrible person you make me out to be."

I narrowed my eyes. Alexandra was lying, she had to be or else I don't know what I would have done.

"We can keep fighting about this all day or we can go see what I wanted to show you."

"Fine." I agreed as I got off the bed.

Alexandra smiled at me and undid my handcuffs.

We walked down the hallway and I was shocked to see that there weren't many guards posted at stations. This posed odd to me because, well for one I was a prisoner and this was the first time Alexandra had let me out. It was odd for that reason and for the reason that there are rising tensions between the Brights and my colony, I would have thought that there would be more guards.

As we continued down the identical hallways I also noticed the lack of people a bit strange as well. From doing my time on the council I learned a bit about all of the representatives and how they lived. Something I found interesting about the Brights was the fact that they all lived in this giant building like a commune. After the bombing of the Bright city they just decided to live in one building.

It wasn't a great war strategy but I think they didn't plan to go to war again anytime soon. Anyway I was surprised I didn't see anyone walking the hallways.

"What are you noticing son?" My mom asked.

"Where is everyone?" I asked as I looked down the hallways.

"That's what I want to show you."

Somewhere down the hallway something was making a lot of noise. It was gradually getting louder as we were getting closer to it. As we got closer I recognized the sounds as the Brights and it sounded like there was a lot of them. What was happening? Did Alexandra want me to give a speech or something. God I hope not. I don't want to talk in front of a bunch of people right now. I can't just get up and give speeches like America can. I have to think about them for a long time.
