I was pacing around my apartment and Eden wasn't doing anything but watching me pacing. Then our door opened. It dragged me out of my deep thoughts. I turned around and Lorelei and Elijah were standing in the doorway.

"Come in, quickly." I stepped out of the way to let them in.

Lorelei didn't smile she walked in with a serious expression on her face. Elijah's face looked grave. They know something and it is obviously bugging them.

"Eden, can you go get our guests something to drink." I called to him.

Eden got up off the couch and went into the kitchen to get them some water.

"What is bugging you guys." I asked them in quiet voices.

"I just stayed up for thirty hours straight researching the phenomenon that is plaguing the other half of the world and you know what I found?" Lorelei's eyes had narrowed but I don't think she was mad at me.

"What did you find Lorelei?"

"I was searching for hours yesterday searching for something to disprove my hypothesis. I looked at any and every possibility but the thing is I'm almost certain that my hypothesis is supported now."

"What is is Lorelei, stop hesitating."

Then I felt Eden tug on my shirt. My eyes moved from Lorelei's down to Eden. Eden then went to go give Lorelei and Elijah their water.

Lorelei begins to sip hers slowly and hesitantly. Elijah seems a little quiet. He seemed way more reserved than normal. This was getting to him as well as his wife.

He gently pulls Lorelei closer to him for reassurance and Lorelei hardly notices because she is deep in thought. I can tell she isn't ready to share the news of her discovery yet so I turn the subject to less pressing matters.

"So Lorelei about your skin, what was that about?" I asked her.

"Well the thing is that I believe that I got burnt."

"Burnt? What do you mean 'burnt'?" I asked her.

"Ultra violet rays. Many cases reported on Earth, not so many on Cambaar." Lorelei explained.

"So nothing dangerous?"

"I never said that."

"So on a scale of 0 to deathly how dangerous is it?"

"It has been known to give cancer after long term exposure."

"So it's not dangerous for you."

"I don't think so."

Elijah bit his lip, he didn't seem to think that the sun was so harmless.

"Come on, we need to go to the legislative building." I explained as I walked toward the door.

"Why, what's wrong?" Elijah asked.

"There has been a lot you missed while you were gone." I explain to them as we walked out of my apartment.

Eden slips his hand in mine and we walk down to our car to take us to the legislative building.

The legislative building is very small. It can only fit around thirty people in it safely but not that many people have access to it. The only people who have access to the building is me, Lorelei, Elijah, Silas and a select few security guards.

It is the most protected building in our colony. It is almost impossible to get in without your DNA coded into the door.

Before we actually get into the building there is a waiting room where Eden sits during these meetings. Even he isn't allowed to be in the room. That should give a little perspective on how secretive it actually is. When we get to the building Silas is waiting for us right outside the door.
