Lorelei

I left my apartment early morning. Elijah wasn't awake yet because he really isn't a morning person. I decided to let him sleep in because, after all we are having a really big day tomorrow. I quickly threw on a black long sleeve shirt, jeans and a white sweater. I was in such a rush that I almost forgot the bag with my wedding dress in the closet.

Luckily I realized just after I had left our apartment and so I ran back in to grab it from our closet. Alivia is picking me up today because we are going all over the city today to get me ready for my wedding. I really would be fine just waking up that morning and putting on my dress but no, we are going all out for this event.

When I step outside the High Rise I shiver. It is a little chilly this morning. Our temperature has been really Bipolar lately. It can go from 80 °F to 30 or 40 °F in less than a day. I always make sure to have a sweater on me or else I could get caught in these cold periods and freeze.

I spot Alivia's car and jog over to her. I open the door and slide into the passenger side of her jeep. She takes the dress bag from my arms and throws it into the back seat. Before we get everything done we are going back to Alivia and Indiana's house so we can get all of our appointments in order before we actually go anywhere. I am fine with this because I feel like I haven't seen Luna Rose in a while.

As we drive to their house Alivia questions me on what kind of look I'm going for for my wedding. I told her "simple but sweet". However I have a feeling that her "simple" and my "simple" have different meetings. It should be interesting to find a common ground. I think it will be easier when Alaina shows up to help.

Alaina can be a sort of mediator for me and Alivia. She really helps us find common ground that we both can agree on. The one thing I'm worried about is that if the boys will actually get ready for the wedding. Indiana isn't exactly the best person to send over there if we want to get something done but Elijah insisted that we should send the best man.

I'm thinking of also sending August and Enoch, just to be safe. When we get to the house I don't see Indiana which is odd because he is always at the door to welcome his wife home.

"Where is Indiana?" I brought up.

"Oh, Indiana is helping Luna Rose, she got a fever this weekend." Alivia shrugged.

"Oh my stars! Is Luna Rose okay? Should we stay home to help her?"

"Don't be silly Lorelei. This weekend is about you and besides Indiana can handle the day at home with Luna Rose." Alivia insisted.

For the next few hours Alivia and I were on our Com devices insuring that we had our appointments all set up. Luna Rose slept most of the morning and so Indiana was in the living room folding laundry. He made breakfast for Alivia when he realized she wasn't going to get up and make herself something.

At around 1100 Alaina showed up at the house. It was time to go back to the city to get everything done. We piled into Alivia's jeep and drove back into the city. I kind of relaxed a bit when we were back in the city. It was weird the way the buildings that enclosed this area felt almost comforting.

It felt like I was safe and out of harm's way. I always felt on edge when I wasn't surrounded by buildings and thousands of people. However Alivia is the exact opposite from me. She feels really anxious when she is in the city. That's why we don't really go over to each other's houses very often.

We normally meet in a park or something on the city's edge. It's a good compromise for both of us. Alaina however doesn't mind the city or the suburbs so we both hang out with her very often. Not me as much because I feel like I am always really busy and when I'm not busy Elijah is very busy.
