2. Disaster at the Party Pt. 1

STEPHANIE'S POV

The week went by in a flash and next thing you know Kristy and I were getting ready for the party, the party didn't start until later on so we still had time, or so we thought. An hour into getting ready we heard knocking on my bedroom door and turns out it was Alex.

"Hey girls so Jay and Darren went to help set up the party and buy booze, they told me to take you girls, and I'm gonna pick someone up on the way over there so hurry up.' and with that my older brother left my room. Kristy and I looked at each other and hurried up, we know what happens when we make Alex go late to wherever he needed to be. Luckily we just needed to finish up our hair.

30 minutes later we were in the kitchen making sandwiches while we waited for Alex. We always do this, make sandwiches that is, we never know if there will be actual food at a party so we usually make sandwiches to eat before we head out. 

In this case we made sandwiches to go, we made enough for us, Alex and who ever he is picking up, Jayden, and Darren. Logan isn't getting any because ever since that day during lunch, he's been really moody and he's acting immature about the situation and doesn't want to talk to me.

Almost as if it was scheduled, Alex walked downstairs just when we finished wrapping the food in foil paper, we got our bags and our jackets and we walked out the door, I thought I was safe until Alex called me out.

"Hey Steph, don't you think those shorts are too short? Go put on some jeans." I mentally facepalmed myself. 

"It gets hot at the party, so I decided that instead of wearing a skirt, I should wear shorts. Besides, don't we have to pick up someone? It's getting late." I said looking down at my phone while hoping he dropped the topic, Alex glanced down at his own watch and cursed in a tiny voice and urged us to get in the backseat. 

"If I didn't know better, I would think you're behind her outfit." Alex accused Kristina in a playful voice while glancing back at us.

"Excuse me but she chose her own outfit, besides I didn't go with her when she bought it." my best friend reciprocated.  We all just laughed while we kept the conversation going, in a matter of five minutes we reached a really pretty house. 

Alex left the car and went to knock on the door, Kristy and I were glued to the window waiting to see who opened the door. Soon enough the door was opened and out came the big hoe. 

"CASSIE?!" both Kristy and I looked at each other with our jaws dropped to the floor of the car.

I knew by a good source that Alex and Cassie had been seen together multiple times at school but I had no idea they were a thing.

Once again we were on our way to the party with the human being that had sat next to my brother. The whole car ride was silent, it was pretty awkward having Cassie here, I mean she has a bad reputation but she's a really nice girl but we've never talked before.

 I was just being a weirdo and looking at her while Alex drove. 

We finally arrived at the party and my own thoughts were invade with the loud booming of the music, I love this feeling. 

When the beat of the music becomes one with the beat of my heart. I was just starting to walk into the actual party with Cassie, Kristy, and Alex when we started being greeted by almost everyone. 

As soon as we entered the kitchen, I heard Darren's voice.

"Dude she's here, stop drinking so much." I heard him say as I reached where he was. Sure enough I found my boyfriend drinking a bottle of whatever alcohol he was holding in his hand.

I get if Alex drank or something but Logan was a sophomore and this past few months that he had been dating, he never mentioned that he drank.

"Today I'm single, if she has a problem she can tell me tomorrow." Logan aid as he wrapped his arm around some girl. I've never seen her before but I'm guessing she wasn't from around here.

"Yo if you have a problem talk it out but respect the fact that you have a girlfriend, and that girlfriend of yours just happens to be my sister." Alex's booming voice said as he walked into the kitchen.

"It's fine, if he's single today then I guess so am I." I said as I left the kitchen with my friends. I didn't even realize that Cassie was still with us until she said something. 

"Boys like him are disgusting," I think she didn't mean to say it out loud but we heard her. 

"I mean you don't fall far behi-"

"Kristina stop." Darren said stopping his girlfriend from finishing what she was gonna say. 

I didn't notice when Alex and Darren caught up to us but it was obvious neither of them were ok with what Kristina was about to say.

Alex just shook is head and pulled Cassie somewhere else while I joined some girls from the dance team. 

I just kept dancing while the music was blasting, I enjoyed every second of it while it lasted. Jannet, a girl from the team came over and pointed at a pair couple grinding against each other. 

I didn't think much of it until I realized it was Logan.
