A/N: Annnddd... I'm back! I'm really sorry that I haven't updated in a while, PLEASE FORGIVE ME! I'm really busy with school and I'm trying to spend more time with my friends. Let's just say that a lot of stuff is going on. Oh, and btw, this chapter is really bad. Anyways, Enjoy this chapter!

Keefe looked up at the ceiling, hugging Mrs.Stinkbottom. After Sophie disappeared, they had hailed their parents to tell them what was going on. The adults had panicked and canceled their plans to immediately come home.

Fitz had locked himself in his room, while Biana and Linh quietly left together after they heard that Sophie had been taken. And as for Tam and Dex, they went home, defeated.

Keefe felt miserable. He should have gone with Foster. He could have done something, anything!

But...Could he?

If the kidnapper had managed to get Foster, he would be already dead. Foster had all her abilities and she was way better in... everything than him.

So if he was with her, he would have been as useless as ever.

But... he couldn't help but blame himself. Keefe noticed that Foster was missing, but he didn't say anything. If he had warned Fitz, they could have rushed back and might have gotten there in time. But nooo, Keefe had decided to ignore the fact that she has disappeared, assuming that she just went off with someone in their friend group.

He threw Mrs. Stinkbottom on the floor and brushed his hair back with his hand.

"Keefe you need to stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault!"

Keefe looked up to see Fitz standing in the doorway. His eyes were puffy and red and his hair was soaked.

"What happened to your hair?" asked Keefe not making eye contact.

Fitz shrugged. "I took a shower."

"Great."

Not one of them spoke for the next minutes. It was awkward. Keefe felt the bed shift as Fits sat down beside him. He heard Fitz clear his throat, but Keefe interrupted him before he could start.

"Please don't give me the 'It's not your fault conversation' because I'm not interested in that right now."

Fitz sighed. "Look, we both know that you're blaming yourself but trust me. Sophie is incredible. She'll be fine. Meanwhile, we need to try to figure out where she is."

Keefe sighed. "Easier said than done."

"Help me out here. I'm trying to be optimistic," said Fitz.

"How's Biana?" asked Keefe, changing the subject.

"She's feeling down. When I tried to talk with her, she just shrugged and answered shortly. But don't change the subject!"

"Okay, okay. It's just... We should have seen this coming, you know what I mean? It's like... We dealt with the Neverseen, and then we just relaxed and acted like it was all over." said Keefe.

"I know. But you should keep in mind that it's not your fault."

"It is! I should have warned her! I knew this would happen!"Keefe stood up and buried his face in his hand. "I knew and I did nothing."

"What are you talking about?" questioned Fitz, frowning.

"Last year I went out with Biana to go shopping. Before we broke up!" added Keefe, noticing Fitz's glare. "We were walking around, and then Biana noticed a hooded figure following us around. We decided to go up to her, and see if they wanted something."

"Keefe, why would you do that?! You guys could have gotten injured!" intervened Fitz.

"Let me continue. Then they... they told us to follow. Biana thought that it was just a classmate pranking us, so she followed the hooded person. I didn't want her to go alone, so I went with her. The person took us to a shop. In the shop, we were alone. There was literally no one except us. Then they locked the door, a took off the hood. She pointed a strange device to Biana's throat and said that if we didn't do as she said, she would kill Biana."

Fitz slapped the bed, then gestured to Keefe to continue his story.

"I started yelling for help, but no one seemed to hear us. And Biana and I didn't have our panic switches with us. She said that she and her group had been watching all of us for years and could kill us anytime she wanted. The girl explained that soon enough, terrible things would happen to us. After that, she told me and Biana to..." Keefe paused.

"Do to what?" asked Fitz, nervous.

"She told us to give in the cache Sophie had been keeping," mumbled Keefe.

"No. Please don't tell me you actually did it," begged Fitz.

Keefe didn't answer.

"Keefe! HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID!?" he shouted. "You betrayed us! Why didn't you tell us!?"

"I told you it was my fault," muttered Keefe, looking at his feet.

"Ugh! I'm going home to speak with Biana! I can't believe you right now!" Fitz stood up and leaped back to Everglen, but not before shooting Keefe a glare.

Keefe felt ashamed of himself. He had really messed up. He picked up a glass statue beside him and threw it against the wall, shattering it. He hated himself.
