Tam stood by Biana's bed, watching her sleep. Her cut had healed perfectly, and Elvin couldn't find any signs of poison.

He felt like it had been forever since he had heard her voice. He missed her. More than he would like to admit.

"Tam?"

He turned around to see his sister standing in the doorway.

"What?"

"Nobody's seen Fitz in awhile. Are you sure you didn't see him when you came to Everglen yesterday?"

Tam closed his eyes, curling his hands into fists as he replied to Linh.

"No, I didn't."

She didn't reply.

Tam turned his attention back to Biana. "Do you think she'll ever wake up?"he whispered.

Linh looked down. "I don't...know."

Tam nodded slowly.

You can't tell her. Anything. She'll die if you do.

"I need to tell you something."said Linh softly, coming up to him.

"The last time I saw Fitz...I...Kissed him."

Tam stood straight up. "You what?!"

"You heard me the first time."

"This can't be happening."groaned Tam, running his hand down his face and tugging at his bangs.

"I'm not going to stay single forever you know,"said Linh, hiding a small smile at his reaction.

"What about me?"

She rolled her eyes. "I'm not going to date you Tam."

"Ugh. That's not what I-Nevermind. At least it's not Sencen."

Linh giggled. "You sound like Grady..."

The second she said his name, the atmosphere in the room changed.

"Yea..."

Tam kicked the bed. "This is such a mess."

Linh nodded.

"I can't believe we're dealing with all of this again."she whispered, holding back tears as she looked at Biana.

"I miss her Linh."

"We all do."

For the next few minutes they didn't say a single word, standing there, feeling depressed.

Maybe I can let Dex know the numbers I saw. He might understand.

"I'm going to see Dex." He started to walk away.

He was about to shut the door when he heard coughing.

"Linh? Are you okay?!"he ran back, worried.

"Tam...She's...Awake."said Linh, eyes wide.

Biana.

She sitting up in her bed, coughing.

Is this a prank or something?!

Linh reacted before him, as she ran out to get Alden and Della.

He just stood there in utter shock.

Biana stopped coughing and lay down.

"T-Tam? What happened?" Her voice sounded dry and cracked.

"You're awake." Tam repeated those words in his mind over and over again.

Before he could say anything else,Alden and Della ran into the room, crying.
