"Yo Foster! Pass me that food!"whispered Keefe.

Charlotte had dropped off a plate of delicious deserts at Sophie's room, and even though she refused to eat again, Keefe wanted the custard bursts.

"No! They could be poisoned!"hissed Sophie, about to throw them out.

Before she could do so, Keefe snatched a handful of the deserts and shoved them in his mouth.

"Keefe!" Sophie stared at him in shock. "Are you kidding me right now?"

He wiped his mouth and swallowed, smirking. "See Foster? I'm alive and well."

"Ugh. If you get sick and die, don't blame it on me."

"I won't die. Now stop freaking out." Keefe eyed the rest of the remaining deserts.

Sophie had always wondered how elves never got fat.

He was about to take another handful, but before he could, Sophie threw them out.

He glared at her and whined. "Fosterrrr! I was still hungry."

"I haven't had a single meal in days, so shut up."

"Why are you always in a bad mood?"complained Keefe, plopping down on the floor.

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because were literally prisoners?!"

"Please. They treated me way worse when I was with the Neverseen."

"Really? Did the Neverseen torture you?" Sophie pointes at his bruises and cuts.

"They did. But not as bad as this."mumbled Keefe, so that Sophie couldn't hear.

Sophie felt bad. She knew that she had freaked out but...She was just worried about him. As a friend.

You likeee him, said the little voice in her head.

Sophie rolled her eyes. "I'm going to look around."

"Can I come?"

Sophie shook her head. "No. Did you escape?"

He didn't answer.

"I'll... be back soon." Sophie walked out of the room, closing the door behind her quietly.

She turned around and her eyes widened.

Charlotte stood there in a long silver nightgown, her hair tied up in a loose bun. She glared at Sophie and smiled fakely.

"Who are you with?" She said, sugarcoating her voice.

Shoot.

Just from the sound of her voice, Sophie knew that she had figured exactly what was going on.

"Nobody. I'm talking to myself," replied Sophie coldly.

"Oh really? Oh, also another question. Why did you not sleep in your room?"

"That's none of your business."

Charlotte rolled her eyes and laughed. "Do you really think I don't know? That you're with Keefe?"

Sophie froze.

"I am watching you 24/7. All of you!"

The cameras. She must have checked them and seen them.

"Walk with me?" The way she said it wasn't as a question.
