When Dex has told Tam that the numbers were meaningless, the Shade had felt stuck. He had been hoping that the random numbers were a secret code to find Sophie and Keefe.

Biana still hadn't remembered what had happened. And Fitz was still missing.

Alden and Della has gone to the Councillors, asking for help, but they refused, saying that unless it concerned all of the eleven population, it wasn't their problem.

When Biana heard about her brother, she panicked.

"You h-haven't heard from him in t-three days?"she had said, her eyes wide.

Her parents were equally as heartbroken. Tam caught Della looking at a family portrait, and Alden, with dark circles under his eyes.

Dex had distanced himself from them. When Tam asked him why, he had replied that he needed time.

Linh was spending a lot of time with Biana, trying to cheer her up. She had token her shopping, given her makeover and baked with her, but nothing seemed to work.

Which left Tam, confused, alone and angry.

What is the meaning behind erasing Biana memories of what happened?

He had been asking himself that question nonstop, and not being able to figure out the answer frustrated him.

Linh had stopped coming home for dinner, and slept at the Vackers. Tam would never admit it but he was hurt that his sister had forgotten about him.

Biana hailed him a lot, which made him feel better, but every time she smiled or laughed...It just seemed so fake. She had stopped getting dressed up and wearing makeup, which made Tam noticed how worn out she looked.

"Hey...Are you okay?"he had asked, worried about her.

She had closed her eyes for a moment and then reopened them, giving him one of her fake smiles.

"Yeah, I've just been...Tired."

She had asked Tam to hail her every night, saying that she wanted to make sure he was okay. Of course, he complied, not wanting her to be stressed.

On the fourth day after Biana had woken up, Tam decided to leave his house. He felt like he was going completely insane, and needed to get out. (Me in quarantine)

He decided to...Go shopping. He was supposed to go with Linh and Biana but Linh convinced him to go alone with his girlfriend and to make it a date. He didn't argue.

So here he was with Biana, watching her pick out sparkly dresses.

"Tam? Do you want to chose one?"

He shrugged. "Sure, what do you have in mind?"

She smiled. Fake smiled. "Anything! You can decide."

"Okay." Tam walked around the store, looking for something that she would like.

He spotted a long purple dress, covered in silver gems and pearls. It seemed to fit her personality perfectly, so he picked it up and brought it back to Biana.

"Do you like-Oh wow."

His girlfriend was dressed in a midnight black sparkly dress. It was the first time that he had seen her wear black. Usually she wore bright and vibrant colours, but he had to admit that it did look amazing on her.

"What do you think? I thought that I'd try something...Different."

"Was my reaction not enough?"asked Tam jokingly.

Biana rolled her eyes, but Tam could see her trying not to smile.

"So yes?"

Tam nodded. "Definitely."

Her face lit up-For real this time, as she grinned at him.

They went to buy the dress along with a few others, and after that they walked around.

Tam wasn't an Empath but he knew by the smile on her face that he had managed to take her mind off of everything that was happening.

"I missed spending time with you,"she said quietly, leaning her head on his shoulder.

Tam smiled. "Me too. Do you want to-"

Before he could finish, he heard Biana gasp.

"What's wrong?"

She covered her mouth, trembling as she pointed.

Tam looked in the direction that she had gestured, to and immediately let go of Bianca's hand.

How...

Fitz was sitting on a bench, alone.

"I-Is this real?"asked Biana, shocked.

Tam wasn't sure.

Biana ran forwards, crying.

"Biana wait! It might be a trap!"shouted Tam, sprinting after her.

She didn't listen, and ran up to Fitz, hugging him.

Fitz's eyes widened. "Uh...Hi?"

"What happened?" Tam was still suspicious.

"They told me you were kidnapped,"said Biana, tears running down her cheeks.

"Kidnapped? Why?"

No. Please.

Tam spoke up. "You disappeared. We thought that Charlotte had taken you."

Fitz looked confused. It was the same expression that Biana had when she had woken up.

"Who's Charlotte? And why would I have gotten kidnapped?"

I knew it, Tam thought.

"Um...Let's go back to Everglen,"he said. "Is Linh still there?"

Biana nodded, wiping her eyes.

Tam sighed bracing himself for a crying fest.

Yep. He was definitely right about the crying.

The second Fitz' parents saw their son, they burst into tears, like they had with Biana.

Linh came downstairs, wondering what all the sobbing was for. When she saw Fitz, she froze, blushing.

Tam still wasn't really over the fact that she had kissed Bianca's brother.

Fitz's reaction was similar. They were very awkward, and when Biana saw Tam glaring at Fitz, she frowned at him.

"Um...Tam? Why are you death glaring at my brother?"

"Linh and him kissed,"he muttered.

Biana reacted...Well like Biana. Meaning squealing and running all over the place.

Tam was glad that she was back to her old self.

"I'm going back to my place. Linh, are you coming with me?"

His sister nodded. "Bye guys,"she said, waving at a cheerful Biana and confused Fitz.

The second they got home, Tam told her that Fitz didn't remember.

Linh thought for a moment.

"What if...She's trying to make it seem like nothing happened? Like...By erasing memories?"

"That...Is very possible,"replied Tam.

I have a very good feeling that she's 100% right.
