"Rye, I'm right here. Tell me what's wrong."
"I don't have to tell you anything, Andrew."
"Don't call me that, please. Rye, tell me what's on your mind...
Give me just a little bit of your heart."

Things started to get better between me and Rye, and I was slowly starting to talk to Mum again. Not forgive her, but we were talking. She was also working on trying to fix things with Dad, but I knew he found it difficult.
Rye was being more lovey and way sweeter than he usually was, smirking knowingly when I questioned what he was up to. He shook his head and replied with "better you don't know, honey", to which I huffed. I pried at Brook and Jon, who also seemed to be in on it, and Jon almost slipped up.
"You're never going to believe that he l-"
"Jon!" Brook hissed, and Jon jumped, clamping a hand over his mouth. I sighed and smiled, going to feed Ana. She was babbling and squealing at the sight of kittens coming up on the TV, grinning towards me. She'd recently developed a sort of obsession, if you could call it that for babies, for kittens.
"Mamí, gato!" She giggled. My mind went blank for a second, until I realised she meant cat; Rye had been teaching her a lot of Spanish as well as English, which I found adorable.
"Yes baby, gato," I replied, laughing softly. She reached her arms out and grinned widely, craning her neck to look behind me. I pulled her back so she wouldn't tumble straight out of my arms, giggling. "Don't hurt yourself, darling. What are you even looking at?"
"Papa! J!" She replied, and I turned. Neither Rye nor Jack were to be found, with no response when I called for them. Honestly, the way they were being so secretive, you'd think they'd murdered someone.
Brooklyn suddenly ran in, stopping in his tracks. "What are you doing, Andy? Why aren't you getting ready? Come on," he pushed, tugging me along. I placed Aliana down on my bed as Brook started to pull various outfits from my side of the closet, throwing them onto the bed. One of my blouses fell on her head and she laughed wildly.
"Mamí," she laughed, and my heart swelled even more - if possible - at the adorable sight.
"Brook, what are you doing?"
"Well," he huffed. "It is currently 6 o'clock in the evening and your date is at 7. You, sir, are not dressed and I am helping you. Got it?" He finished, hands on his hips. I nodded silently, holding in my laughter, and caught a pair of jeans he threw. "Right. I think I got it. That blouse, with the jeans and... these Adidas trainers. Come on, Ana. Let's leave Mamí to get changed, yeah?"
He picked her up and swung her in the air, growling at her playfully. He then looked back at me, a half serious look on his face. "Ten minutes, and I want to see you dressed, Mr Beaumont."
I got changed quickly and admired myself in the mirror, proud of Brook's sense of fashion.

I also applied a little lipgloss, a weakness for Rye, as well as some mascara, and grabbed a light jacket. Glancing up at the time, I also read the date and smiled to myself when it said 23-04-20 (If you know, you know haha). Perfect timing, love. To be honest, he hadn't even warned me we were going to be going on a date.
