Rye's P.O.V

A few days later

Andy and I were back home after spending some time alone together, which was massively needed. Seeing how Aliana crawled straight towards us as soon as we stepped through the doors, squealing uncontrollably, made me laugh, as I picked her up and kissed her all over.

"How was it?" Brook smiled, hand in hand with Jack as they made their way from the kitchen, most likely having just fed Ana. Andy chuckled softly and squeezed my hand, subtly nodding towards them.

"It was incredible," Andy breathed, kissing my cheek. "Rye took me to this beach house, and serenaded me with only the best song of all time. I'm still surprised you learned it, to be entirely honest." I held my heart in mock hurt, but pulled Andy into a quick kiss.

"Anything for you, mi amor," I smiled, making my brother smile.

"So, what are you doing for Aliana's birthday? It is in a few days," He asked; at the mention of her name, Ana squealed in Andy's arms.

"Are we going to plan a party, love?" I asked Andy, who returned my question with a raised eyebrow. I took it as a yes, chuckling. "Okay, I'll get invitations out, then."

Andy's P.O.V

The next few days went by in a complete blur. I thought I didn't work well under pressure, but Rye was something different. He was barely sleeping, only getting off the phone in bed when I had to take it off him and hang up myself.

"Babe, don't overwork yourself," I giggled, kissing his face softly. Rye gave me a tired smile and pulled me in for a cuddle, laying us down together. Aliana was with Rye's parents, having basically forgotten us as soon as she saw Robbie run towards her. I wondered how she'd keep up with having so many uncles. "The party will be fine. I'm sure everyone will love it. Okay?"

"Okay," he sighed. "I love you, Andy."

"I love you too, Rye. Now, stop worrying and go to sleep. Tomorrow will be amazing, alright? Our daughter is turning 1," I said, in awe myself. We'd come this far, in both our journeys as a couple, and the journey of being parents to a beautiful daughter I'd do absolutely anything for.

"Okay, baby. Good night," Rye mumbled, kissing my forehead before letting his eyes slip shut. Bless him, he was so exhausted trying to get this all set up. Of course, I did anything that I could, but Rye insisted I let him take the reins. I ran my fingers through his soft locks, until I fell asleep as well.

The next morning

An incessant beeping made me wake up from a peaceful sleep, and I groaned, opening my eyes. Rye was sat up in bed, scrolling through his phone.

"Morning, darling," he smiled down at me, pouting when I avoided his kiss.

"Not now. I have morning breath," I chuckled, getting up. "A year has officially passed since I gave birth to Aliana, Rye."

I let the happy tears start to fall as Rye leaned down to cuddle me, smiling into my hair.

"You're an incredible parent, mi amor. I'm so proud of you, and I'm sorry that I hurt you so many times," he whispered. I shook my head, letting him know it was okay.

"Baby, you know I forgave you. Yes, it still does hurt, but I told you I couldn't hate you. Not after everything that we have done together," I replied. "Now, come on. We've got a party to throw."

"Come on, darling. Let Mamí put this dress on you," I huffed, struggling to keep a straight face as Aliana pouted up at me, clutching the toy I'd bought her. She kept turning away every time I got the dress near her, giggling constantly.
