Andy's P.O.V
I woke up to find myself in a barely lit room, and it reeked of weed. I tried to calm myself down and try to find some way out, to see that I'd been chained up. I huffed, slumping back down. All I wanted was to cuddle with Rye, to play with Ana. I felt the tears streaming down my cheeks, but couldn't wipe them away. The door suddenly opened and I backed right up against the wall, whimpering a little.
I glared at the person who walked in, watching him come up to me.
"Get up. Boss wants to see you."
"I'm not going with you," I said, keeping a straight face.
"Fine. I'll get you one of your other best friends," he scowled, returning quickly with someone familiar.
"Sonny..."
"Get up," Sonny said bluntly. He undid the chains and pulled me up, walking behind me. He came close to my ear. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "I have to do this. They... they wouldn't let me go."
"This is your job?" I whispered back, and he nodded. "Sonny, you have to let me go. I can't leave Rye and Aliana alone." My heart felt heavier at the mention of my daughter's name.
"I'll do whatever I can. But, I cannot guarantee both of us will get out alive."
"I'm going to die?"
"Shh, keep your voice down. I'll die, helping you escape. But I'm prepared to do that," he said quietly.
"Hurry the fuck up."
I stared at the figure in front of me, wondering why he was doing this.
"Why don't you just kill me now? I'm no use to you, am I?"
"Well, you are. So shut your mouth and hurry up."
The three of us ended up in front of a door, and he knocked sharply, entering when a low voice said so.
"Ah, Fowler," a man chuckled, smirking when I jumped at the slam of the door.
"It's Beaumont," I snarled, clenching my fists. I felt Sonny rub my knuckles softly and the man stared at him.
"Robertson, leave. And, last I remember of you, you were a Fowler. How is Ryan?"
I stayed silent. He wouldn't get anything out of me. I cursed silently as Sonny left the room.
"Silent. Do you know who I am, Drew?"
I froze at the nickname. Only one person used to call me that.
"Don't you dare call me that."
"I know who does, though," he laughed. "You really don't know me?"
I stared blankly. "No, I don't fucking know who you are."
"Does the name Harry Duff ring a bell yet?"
My anger turned to shock. "You're Jack's dad?! And you tried to kill him?"
"I never had the intention of hurting my own son, idiot. He was my easiest way to you, of course."
"What the fuck do you even want with me?"
"Your mother never told you?"
"Tell me what?"
Harry laughed, shaking his head. "Harv, spare him the details, why don't you?"
"This is your real father, Drew."
I looked between the two, not believing it for a second. How could this man, this... monster, be my father? We looked nothing alike. I'd got my father's blue eyes, though his hair was naturally blonde. I got my brown straight hair from Mum, but it couldn't be from him...
"Why do you think you have naturally brown hair, huh? He's not lying. Undo the cuffs for a sec, Cantwell."
I rubbed my sore wrists, struggling to restrain myself from strangling the life out of the blonde I'd grown so close with for all these years. What I really struggled with, however, was believing these two at all. I mean, they kidnapped and manipulated people. What's to say they weren't lying about this, too?
"Mum would have told me something like that," I replied furiously.
"And ruin the succession line to the throne? Andrew, you are the only child, although illegitimate, of Lesley's. Not Tom's, of course. You'll be an illegitimate King. Believe me all you want. What I'm saying is the full truth. You are my son, Jack's half brother. But he doesn't know, either. Tom doesn't. Only your mother does. And I want her back." He pushed a piece of paper towards me. It looked like a DNA test, with my blood, most likely, and two names at the top. Harry Duff, Father. Lesley Fowler, mother.
"You're the head of a fucking mafia! Why would you ever think my mother would want to be with you? And for all I know, that could be completely fake!"
"It's not. And she will be with me because your life is at risk, as is the secret. If she doesn't do what I want, the secret comes out. Same applies to you. I hadn't planned for you to be held here, so you're free to leave tomorrow. But if anyone hears about this, your family is ruined. Don't worry, we'll be watching you. Harvey, drive him back tomorrow."
The blonde snapped the cuffs back on and dragged me back to the room, throwing me in.
I didn't know what to feel or think. On one hand, they could have been genuine, and Mum would have lied to me all these years. They both would've. And it scared me, because my parents were part of me, who I was and why I was the person I am.
But I had yet to ignore the doubt. This was Jack's father we were talking about. Who knows what bullshit he'd make up to get us to do what he wanted? He most likely would have wanted to make up anything. I also didn't believe he wanted my mum. She was the Queen. There would be no way she'd agree to just keep a secret. Knowing her, she'd rather the truth out before it hurts too many people.
But what if this is the truth? My whole life would be a lie. It would hurt me so badly.
I shook my head, trying to forget it for now. All I wanted to focus on was getting home as soon as possible, to Rye and Aliana.
And Jack, your potential half brother...
A/N Sooo, you guys all probably guessed it was Harvey with the gun to Andy's head, and yes, that happened. Jandy may or may not be related... I'm sorry haha. But I still hoped you all enjoyed the chapter and let me know what you think xx
