Branches hang down
Like fingers from someone in the sky
Wanting to hold you
Your body feeling like soft interior
Your hands like pillows
With wood holding them together
Like the tree that wants to hold you
But all it can ever do
Is touch air
And I breathe it in
Like my life depends on it
But I can't feel nothing
I can't do anything at all
You hit me with your lack of love
And I don't ever want to feel
Like I'm not enough
For anyone
And you shatter me
What can I do?
I am encompassed by you
But I'm not anchored to you
I'm angered by you
For the lack of what you do
And what you don't have in you
