Broken building
With metal surrounding it
To keep people from going in
A park bench
Ten meters away from
A painted gate
That lets you go through it
A girl is sat
Bag beside her crossed legs
On the brittle wood
Held by some sort of metal
Dogs walking with their owners
Flapping their ears
Tongues hanging out
Leaves a shade of emerald
Foliage across from me
A bag of groceries
By my feet
A path to walk on
People continually pass me
I am alone
But surrounded
I feel loved
With voices in my ears
The presence of a friend
An ocean away
The wind wraps around me
Words flow through me
And are tapped out onto
A screen filled with blue
I feel close to you
Though you are far
I feel far from my troubles
Life is beautiful
Here
This moment
Could last an eternity
And I wouldn't notice
Life passing by me
I'd just feel it in its entirety
