Green in different shapes
Ahead of me
But when I look around
I can see a patch of blue flowers
Reaching out to me
Wishing to be seen
Grey shade of ground
Darker than the version of grey
On my torso
I'm wrapped in a veil
Of a summery jacket
Full of so much colour
An autumnal
Shade of orange
A pale blue
Shaped like circles
A yellow
Not like the sun
More like a gold
That makes you think of home
And soft brass cups
From the middle ages
Black covers my legs
Downwards
Cos sometimes
Colour needs to hide
Beneath fabric
So you can appreciate it more
The next time you see it
And sometimes shapes
Are better when we remember them
But in the end
I just want to feel the softness
Of fabric
So I don't feel the roughness
Of unwarranted judgment.
