Who stole the fire
The light has changed colour
Theres no longer a warm glow
I see everything in a cool tone
I was burning up
Like an ember in the day time
Like a firefly at night
Like an open fire before glass in sunlight
I was burning up
Full of emotions
And volumes of trust
Feeling something close to love
But I am now silent
And not feeling enough
Like a knife
I have become
Empty of air
And am streamlined
To make jagged lines
Into everything I've ever seen
I was a match
Blazed with everything but fury
I was a match
Burning everything before me
I was a match
Full of embers
And wanting to remember
But now I am kindling
Without gasoline
To help me breathe
I am oxygen
Without the ability to be seen
I am empty
Void of everything
Who stole the fire?
Give it back to me
You stole my life
And now I am
Wishing and waiting expectantly
Like a pheonix
I need embers to be me
And I need embers to breathe
Who stole the fire?
Give me back to me
