Alice Hughes' POV

I was breathing heavily as I was sitting on the floor of the bedroom. I don't know what came over me but I just had to jump on Connor, the Connor O'Sullivan as Nora put it. I was breathing heavily as I was holding my chest, my heart was beating faster than normal. "Alice?" Connor asked for me when he knocked on the door. I was startled by him before I went to stand up and held the door, locking it.

"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over as I was astonished by your scents and all," I said bluntly. After hearing what I just said, I closed my eyes, regretting it now. Can I not say anything stupid right now?

"Scents?" Connor asked me before he chuckled at me. I sighed as I was cursing at myself for being a naïve young woman.

"Just... just go, Connor. I'm sorry if I have burdened you to come here," I said as I was leaning my forehead on the door. I had embarrassed myself to the fullest. I don't need more of that for I was disgraceful of my action just now.

"Open the door, Alice," Connor said as he tried to turn the doorknob. I held it as I shook my head.

"No!" I replied as I was holding the handle when he tried to open it. I can hear that Connor was sighing on the other side of the door.

"Unlock the door, Alice, or I will break it," he replied. I was shocked by his answer. Would he really do that? I wonder. I stood my ground as I was holding the doorknob firm in my hands.

"No, just leave me alone, Connor. I don't want to see you anymore," I said. There was a silence before he sighed loudly.

"Do you really mean that?" Connor whispered, asking me again. I just realized what I said. I closed my eyes before I hit my forehead against the door. I bit my lower lips as I knew that Connor would think I don't want to see him anymore. Stupid, stupid mouth!

"No, I don't. I'm sorry. It's my blunt answer. Of course, I would love to see you again, Connor," I said as I was putting my hand on the wooden door, releasing the doorknob. My heart ached when he was silent.

"Alice, open the door. Now," his deep sensual voice has some effect on me right now. I felt like I was unlocking the door, opening it to see that Connor was standing in front of me. He was looking me up and down before his twin rubies were focusing on my face. "Step back," he said again. I did what was told. Then, Connor crossed the threshold before he closed the door, locking it as I heard a distinctive sound. Click!

"Come forward," he said. I took two steps as I was standing in front of him, closing the gap between us. He was caressing my cheeks with his thumbs as I was leaning onto his touch. "Now, kiss me," he whispered at me. I gulped as I licked my bottom lips for the anticipated kiss.

"Are you sure?" I dared to ask him before I kissed him, preventing him to answer me. Connor smirked in that kiss. Then, he broke it as he stared into my eyes. His red eyes were shining under the dim moonlight from the outside that came through the window of the bedroom.

"Do it again and you know what I truly feel," he said as he went to caress my bottom lips with his thumb. It was a sensual move that ignited my stomach on fire. I cannot hold it anymore. I just wanted him like right now. "Why fight it, my love? I'm all yours," Connor whispered and it was the only encouragement that I needed. I wounded my hands around his neck as I was playing with his hair on his nape. He drew a breath as I was looking at his eyes.

I smiled weakly. "No regrets?" I asked him. He shook his head.

"With you? Never," Connor said before he claimed my mouth. I was smiling as I was pulling him closer. I was wearing my afternoon outfit as I don't think I needed to dress up for him. Connor liked me for who I was. "Hmm," he groaned as he pulled me closer by my waist. His hands were roaming my sides as I was pulling him closer. Our kiss was nice and tender at first but it went crazy when Connor picked me up and he walked toward the bed.
