Not a word had been spoken to each other from either Lindsey or Stevie for the rest of yesterdays show, nor where they were at with tonight’s show, they hadn’t even looked at each other during the songs they usually did, until that was that they got to tonight’s landslide

Stevie decided that she was going to make her intro longer than usual, once she had finished saying what she wanted and felt she had dragged it on for long enough, she spoke to the audience

“Well I better get on with the song now, I’ve spoke for long enough...I wouldn’t want anyone to have to call security on me would I Lindsey?” she now looked directly at him ‘if looks could kill’ he thought to himself, he just stood there staring at her, and waited for her to turn back round, she eventually did and carried on with her song

For the rest of the night that was all the communication that went on between the two of them. When it came to the final bow Lindsey didn’t want to touch her, because he knew if he did, that would be it for him, he would feel that electricity that he always did when he touched her, so it was best to keep his hands to himself, but Stevie however had other ideas

She knew the arena they were playing tonight wasn’t shaped in a round, so it meant they didn’t have their backs to anyone, they could only be seen head on

They all went to bow when Stevie put her hand on Lindsey’s back and before he could move she moved it under his jacket and T-shirt, they went to do the second bow and she dragged her nails down his back, they both new she would have just made a mark, and they also both knew that was her intention

She quickly removed her hand and went on as though nothing had happened and walked back off stage to her dressing room, which is exactly where Lindsey was now heading, he didn’t even bother knocking he just stormed it

“What the fuck was that about? Look what you did to me” he said loudly lifting up his T-shirt so she could see the lines she had created on his back, she smiled and walked up to him

“This is for threatening to call security on me” he was confused for a second, but that soon disappeared when he watched he raise her hand then felt it slap sharply off his cheek, he grabbed his face ‘That woman has a slap’ he thought

“What the...” he started but she interrupted

“And this is to say sorry for that”

Stevie lunged forward and grabbed Lindsey’s face in her hands, then pulled his head down roughly so it was at her level, then connected her lips with his

He was shocked to say the least, he was never going to be able to stop now, so his hands went into a tangled frenzy in her hair, which right now was a mirror image of what their mouths were doing, she fought for entrance and he finally gave in, she walked backwards and wrapped her arms around his neck, he moved his hands from her hair to the backs of her thighs and lifted her of the floor so she could wrap her legs around him

Lindsey finished the walk forward and trapped her between him and the wall, their kiss showed no signs of slowing down, and at this moment in time neither did they

Stevie broke the kiss and tipped her head backward so that he had access to her neck, to which he proceeded to kiss and occasionally nip; it wasn’t long before she dragged his mouth back to hers

Lindsey had a firm grasp so she knew she could let go of him and she wouldn’t fall, she moved her arms from around his neck and to the buckle on this belt, for some reason this snapped something inside of Lindsey and he left her mouth and grabbed her wrists to stop them

“What am I doing?” he said out loud, she tried to move her hands back to their task

“How about me?” she said with a smile

Lindsey didn’t say a word he just slowly put her back down on the ground and stepped away from her

“We can’t do this Stevie, we just can’t I’m sorry”

She took a step towards him

“Why not? We love each other don’t we?” she questioned

“Would you listen to yourself Stevie? This is why” he held up his left hand and she saw his wedding ring “I’m married and it’s not to you, I can’t be doing this with you!” he realised how harsh that just sounded

“I’m so glad you remembered you’re married Lindsey, it’s such a pity you didn’t remember that when you got me under you last year, what was I Lindsey just someone you could use when you got bored or missed your wife?”

He walked up to her and backed her once again against the wall, this time he grabbed her face, and looked into her eyes

“Don’t you dare try and belittle what we did Stevie, you know as full well as I do that it’s never just been sex with us” his tone was soft yet firm at the sometime

“Then why are you making me feel like some cheap whore?” he watched as tears came to her eyes

“I would never make you feel like that, I love you Stevie, and you know that!” he told her

“Do I? Then why couldn’t we finish what we started?” she asked still teary

“Because I’m married, I have a family; if I came back to you I would lose them for sure! I don’t care about not being married, I care that I would lose my children, do you understand that?” he was now stroking her cheeks

“I do Lindsey, I really do, but I don’t know how to let you go, don’t you see, that wife should have been me Lindsey, those kids should have been mine, but you couldn’t keep yourself exclusive to me, you had to go and get someone pregnant, that killed me Lindsey it really did, but after all of this heartbreak I still haven’t been able to love you any less, and that makes me so angry, do you know how it feels to watch the one person you love and  know that you can’t be with them permanently?” a tear fell down Lindsey’s face and he rested his forehead on hers

“Yes! Every damn time I have to look at you!” he replied honestly, she was taken back for a moment before she spoke

“Then take the leap Lindsey, be with me, nobody needs to know but us, you can still go home your wife and your family, but you can have me to, I realise what I’m saying here but I’m desperate Lindsey I’ll take you anyway  I can!”

“Stevie, don’t you realise if I was with you, I wouldn’t be going home to my wife, I would be going back to my wife, I would be going home every time I came to you!” this made her close her eyes

“But I don’t think it would ever be enough for me Stevie, I couldn’t just have you every now and then, but it can’t be any other way”

“Lindsey don’t walk away from me again, please, I’ve watched you do it so many times, don’t make me do it again” she looked him deep in the eyes

“I have to...at least tonight I do, you will have an answer tomorrow, and if it’s not the one you want know that I am so sorry” he leaned forward and bushed his lips against her forehead, and left before she could say anything more, he needed to think, and he needed to think hard
