All Lindsey could think about that whole show was what had been said between Stevie and himself the night before, he was watching Stevie now as she danced around during Gold Dust Woman, all he could think about was what it had felt like to have her pressed against him last night, he was so close to giving in until thoughts of his family shot into his head, she had told him they could keep it between them and that’s when he told her that he would have an answer about it today

He had been thinking about it all last night and all of this day, he couldn’t deny it and say that he didn’t love Stevie more than life its self, but he had a family and he didn’t want to break it up, no matter how much the woman dancing in front of him meant

When it came to the encore once again he didn’t want to touch her even though she tried to take his hand, but she was having none of it, she knew just by looking at his face that he had made his decision and that decision didn’t have her in it, she felt her eyes well up and she tuned look at him before they walked out

“Lindsey I know you’ve chosen what you said you would think about, and maybe I’ll get over it one day, but please Lindsey, don’t deny me this one little thing that we’ve done since forever, please” she all but begged

He didn’t say a word he just took her hand like she wanted and laced their fingers together

“Thank you!” she gave his hand a squeeze, he couldn’t look at her, if he did he knew he would see how utterly heartbroken she was

They did the encore songs and took their final bows and all went off to their dressing rooms to get ready for the after party for tonight’s show. Lindsey got dressed as quick as he could, he needed to make sure Stevie was okay, even though he knew really of course she wouldn’t be, but he needed to explain to her why he didn’t chose her

He walked to her dressing room and didn’t bother knocking, but as soon as he walked through he wished he had

“LINDSEY!” she shouted as she stood their shirtless, he was too shocked and just stared at her chest, he internally grunted as he thought how she could still affect him like this

“Shit Sorry...umm” he tried

Stevie lifted the shirt she just took off and held it up to her chest; she was feeling very self conscious at this second

“Lindsey what do you want?” she asked still slightly embarrassed, he could tell she had been crying, he took a step towards her so they were at arm’s length

“I came to explain my decision”

“Lindsey you don’t have to, you chose your family, it’s okay I won’t love you any less you know, I’m upset but...oh who am I kidding, Its broken my heart Lindsey but that’s what happens in life, I’ll get through it, I’ve got through everything else we’ve been through this won’t be any different” she could feel herself starting to cry again

“I came to explain my decision as to why I was choosing my family” he was still staring at her

“Lindsey you’ve already said that” she was confused

“So?” he was confusing her more by the second

“So now what?” she asked

“So now fuck it!”

He quickly pulled the shirt from her hands and flung it to the floor, he put his hand at the back of her neck and pulled her whole body forwards until it crushed against his, his mouth then descended onto hers, Stevie didn’t hesitate for a second and gave back as good as she got

Their hands went straight into each other’s hair, and he pulled them both down to the floor, hands were exploring familiar territory and they only stopped when Lindsey spoke

“Do...” he started but she interrupted

“Oh god don’t tell me to stop again Lindsey, please” she looked at him above her

“Actually I was going to say do you want to do this somewhere more comfortable?” they both giggled, Stevie’s hands moved to the button on his trousers

“Not a chance baby!”

The sex was needy yet still had that loving streak that was always there, even when they had been angry at times it was impossible to cancel out the love that was between them.

 Lindsey finally collapsed on top of Stevie

“Oh god that was good!” he said out loud

“See what we’ve been missing?” she said that they both laughed

After a short while Lindsey spoke

“As much as I would love to stay like this forever, we do have an after party to go to” she agreed and he got up and helped her up off the floor, they both put their clothes back on straight and made sure they looked like they hadn’t just done what they had, Lindsey poked his head around the door to make sure it was safe for him to run back to his dressing room, it was and he gave Stevie a quick kiss before leaving

“I love you!” he said

“I love you too Lindsey”

Neither of them could quite conceal the smiles that were on their faces as they continued to get ready for the party
