I looked at Luke as he looked straight into my eyes, probably seeing the tears that he had made me form. I was mumbling something stupid that I couldn't even remember, but all I know was that I was terrified to be with him in that moment. Luke had never shown interest in me before, other than his stupid sarcastic flirting, he's done the complete opposite of that, but for some, absurd reason, he decided to kiss me.
"Charity I'm sorry."
"Charity?" I laughed hysterically. "You kiss me then call me by the name that I envy? What's wrong with you?"
"I'm sorry, it's just when I'm around you I get all-"
"You get all what?" I screamed. "You've been a horrible person to me, and now you think you can come into my life and want me to reciprocate the feelings?"
I stared angrily at Luke, him looking like a puppy, his eyes slightly watered and his cheeks a bright shade of red.
"Look I'm sorry." I mumbled, rubbing his shoulder. "I'm with Calum now and he treats me better than you ever have. I should go." I stuttered, putting my school bag over my shoulder. "Good bye Luke."
I walked out of his house and didn't look back. I wasn't terrified of Luke anymore per say, but I definitely don't want to see him ever again. Luke was a strange guy, and I didn't like it, but he did make me feel some type of way. There was something mysterious about him, and he definitely had that bad boy vibe coming off of him. It was cute, but I couldn't think of him like that, because I loved Calum, I knew I did, and there was no way I could change the way I felt.
"Hello?" I asked, answering my phone after the third ring. "Hey Calum." I mumbled, walking quicker to get home.
"Hey babe, how's your day been? You finished your test right?"
"Yes." I smiled, glad that he has asked. Maybe I could blow off a little steam and forget about Luke's idiotic actions.
"Would you maybe want to do something tonight?"
"Like a date?" I asked.
"It can be whatever you want it to be. We can do whatever you want to do, my treat."
"You don't have to."
"Anything for you babe. You deserve it!"
"How?"
"For everything you've been through lately, with the stress, and the tutoring, allow me to treat you."
"Really?" I asked, feeling somewhat terrible.
"Really. Come over right now if you're out would ya?"
"Yeah I'll be there." I smiled, changing my direction of where I was going. After about ten minutes of walking, I made it to Calum's house and knocked on his door.
"Hey." He smiled, welcoming me in. "Is something wrong?" He asked, probably realizing that I wasn't my normal self.
"Nothing much." I muttered, taking off my shoes. "So what do you want to do?"
"I want to talk." He said bluntly, taking my hand and leading me to the couch.
"There's nothing to talk about I'm fine."
"Chelsea." He smiled, giving me his puppy dog eyes. "There's a lot to talk about."
"Fine." I sighed.
"Look, I think I know why're you're upset."
"You do?"
"Yeah. It's cause of Luke and stuff, but honey, you just gotta forget about all the terrible things he's done to you, hasn't he been a little nicer to you?"
"A little too nice." I muttered under my breath.
"Huh?" He asked, catching my sarcasm.
"Nothing." I smiled.
"Chelsea?"
"Luke likes me okay?"
"He what's you? Luke what's you?"
"He likes me." I cried. "I don't know why!"
"He likes you. Well, he can't help it, look at ya! You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."
"Thanks Calum, but I don't know what to do about it. I can't tutor him if I know he's thinking about me all the time. It's weird ya know?"
"Well how do you feel when we're together and I can't keep my eyes off of you?"
"I'm really not in the mood Calu-"
"Just let me kiss you."
So I did, and it took my mind off of things for a little while until I pictured Luke for a quick second. I almost screamed but I was relaxed as I felt Calum run his hand on my thigh. It's not that I was allowing him to take advantage of me, it was the fact that I loved him, and I was allowing him to make love to me, and practically claim me.
And that's what he did.
