Kaito wasn't sure that he should ask the other, after all, he knew it could trigger something. He didn't know what happened and Hattori as well. On the phone, the other did tell him that he had PTSD, but what had happened. Kaito knew that the other was strong, and he knew that the other was four years there. Four years the other disappeared and three years ago the other got rescued.

"You want to talk about that nightmare? I won't force you of course, but I know that it can help. At least it helped me to talk about when I had my nightmares."

The other looked down at the dog and he could see the shudder going through the body of the other.

"I r-rather n-not w-want to t-talk ab-about it f-for now..."

The last part made him blink, it seemed that it could be that the other would talk about it in the future.

"Of course, whenever you are ready you can talk to me."

The other looked up now and giving a small nod. There was now a pause of the other, and he could see that the former detective was thinking about saying something.

"U-um w-would y-you b-be alright to um s-sleep t-the night with me?..."

His Indigo eyes met with the other blue of his friend. Should he say yes? The other asked, but he wasn't sure, the other person seemed to give him a nod.

"I didn't think you would be that comfortable with it."

The other cheeks heat up and he smiled softly at Shinichi. That would take a while until the other male would be more confident.

"I-it's j-just that I u-usually don't s-sleep well, al-alone. I n-never told H-Hattori, d-didn't want to burden my b-best friend...."

He glanced at his best friend and the other looked probably as concerned as him. His lips thinned into a line as he knew too well. The other had to force him to bring it out as he probably never would have told the other. After all, he didn't want to burden others with this.

"Listen closely Shinichi. Don't think like this, for what are friends there for. I am sure that Hattori wouldn't see you as a burden. It is fine to feel like this, and for christ's sake lean on others. I know how it is and in the end, it helped me."

The other jumped slightly up as hearing the tone he used, and he hadn't meant to make the other like this. But he needed the other to realize that it was alright to lean on others, or the other would never get better. It was a bit harsh and he knew this, and now he felt bad now.

"Sorry, I said it a bit too harsh. I hope you aren't mad at me..."

His head went up and Sapphire's eyes locked eyes with his indigo once, which made him surprised. It seemed that the old Shinichi still was somewhere in there.

"D-don't you d-dare to apologize. I-i know yo-you meant no h-harm with this. I c-can't promise t-that I will t-trust you entierly b-but I trust you en-enough to l-let you sleep in the s-same bed..."

In the end, he trailed off and huffed out as he had a small pout on his lips. Why was he pouting? Oh, was it because he hadn't said yes?

"Fine, as long as you don't mind my company I don't mind it."

That was making the others face lit up in relief and joy. God, was the other adorable like this. It wasn't that he didn't forget that this wasn't his favorite critic 8 years ago.

"I will make some food now. Any preferences you don't like Kudo-kun?"

The other thought for a moment and then said...
