Horse farm and a traumatized Shinichi (Shinkai)

Chapter 15

A/N So I am sorry for the long wait. I was in a writer's block and still am. I have written these chapters beforehand. I will try to finish the others. Once again I am sorry for the wait and thanks for the patience for the people who are still reading my fanfiction.

Shinichi wasn't sure how to react to what Kaito said. Right now he was speechless as well his shyness grew so much more. Why was the other male still caring for him? All he was doing was making trouble and he would be a burden for Kaito, so why?

"Why?"

It was just unbelievable for him right now. Not after what happened. Not after what she told him and he believed her. Kaito let out a sigh.

"Whatever she told you, don't listen to her. She is a manipulative bitch. So did she do anything to you?"

That tone was anger, but as well as concern. He opened his mouth but closed it again.

"Sh-she um d-didn't do a-anything physically..." 

Why was it that easy for him to talk with Kaito? Why was it that he trusts the other that much that he can talk about it? He was way too confused with him and he wasn't sure what to do now. His throat closed and he felt himself cry once again. The other male hugged him tightly. Soon he felt himself doze off.

Shinichi felt some hushed voices and as well something warm. Which made him snuggle into it. His mind too groggily and he felt way too exhausted. Weirdly enough he felt better, why wasn't Shinichi wasn't sure about. This was the first time he slept without any nightmares. His eyes slowly opened, to realize that he was hugging someone tightly right now.

"You are awake."

He nodded wondering when he dozed off. Sapphire eyes met Indigo who looked relieved.

"How are you feeling?"

The voices stopped and he felt all eyes on him. It made him realize that he wasn't alone. His eyes trailed around to see that he was back at his room from Kaito's farm. 

"A-alright..."

His voice soft, and he felt confused that he wasn't feeling any panic attacks as well the anxiousness he had weren't there. His shyness stayed of course and his stuttering as well.

"Good. I am sorry. Your father meant it would be better to change the dosage to three times a day. As well as a different one. As it seemed that the one you had before wasn't working well with you."

That was making him blink. The footsteps left and he was sure that whoever was there left them to let them talk alone.

"I-it's a-alright. I m-must ha-have been w-worse then before we-weren't I?"

Kaito had his lips pressed together and he guessed that something had happened. He numbly remembered about a nightmare he had, but it stopped in the middle.

"Yeah. You had more than one nightmare. Do you remember?"

Shinichi could remember one, but that there were more then one was making him furrow his brows as shaking his head.

"I see. That was the reason why your father decided to up the dosage. Another reason was the breakdown you had."

It made sense to him that they went to do this. It was something that he accepted and when it helped him, he wasn't minding it. Now he wondered what time did they have as well how long was he asleep.

"O-oh, um how l-long w-were I a-asleep?"

Kaito hummed as thinking about it.

"You slept for the rest of the day and until now. Around 15 hours or maybe more. Right now it's 7 am in the morning."

That made him blink and letting out a sigh. He probably made everyone concerned.

"O-oh, I a-am so-sorry..."

Kaito huffed out and hugged him more tightly now. Shinichi realized that he was back to his old stutter pattern. And he felt like being back at the beginning. 

"Don't apologize. We both know that it wasn't your fault. Do you mind talking to me about what happened? It is not really avoidable as the police need to hear it. Don't worry, you can just tell me and I will write it down, and giving it to the police."

That made him have his lips into a thin line as he nodded. It was the usual thing and he knew that he needed to tell the police as he was a victim.

"A-alright."

After saying this, Kaito was letting go of the hug and walking away for the moment. He pouted slightly as it was comfy. Shinichi wasn't wanting the other to leave him and wanting to cling on him. Why he wasn't really sure? What he knew was that he enjoyed the hug he got for the other.

"Sorry, I had to get a pen and paper. Just start after you ran away, that part I know."

He nodded as sitting up and stretching himself. A sigh escaped as he folded his hands together.

"I e-ended up a-at Manty and kinda s-sat there. H-he tried t-to ma-make feel b-better. I h-heard t-t-the t-t-two t-t-talk a-a-and  h-h-had a-a-a f-f-flashback. W-w-when c-c-coming back I-i-i w-w-was wi-with t-th-the two..."

He let out a sigh, trying to calm his heart down which was by now hammering into his chest. Kaito waited for him to continue, but he looked concerned as well as angry. Shinichi knew who that anger was directed to.

"G-G-Gin he-held me d-down and h-had h-his h-hand o-on m-my m-mouth. I b-bit h-his h-hand a-and kicked him. Then I ran away and in the end, Vermouth shot my calve. She sat on me and held my wrists holding me down as well saying I quote 'My little subject shouldn't fight back, after all, you are just a tool nothing more. And no one will want you. No one loves you. For them, you are just a burden. Let's do something fun.' After this, everything is kind of fuzzy for me."

The first part was said in nervous and after kicked him, his voice began to be void of any emotions and he was calm again. It was like protection and Kaito realized this. He wrote everything down, and carefully walking up to him. His crush sat right next to him and pulling him into a hug.

"You were scared weren't you?"

His voice laced with concern and he felt himself latch onto the latter male as some tears rolled down. 

"I-i-i-i w-was hic t-terrified hic to hic get b-back hic t-there hic. Te-terrified hic t-that I hic w-wouldn't see hic you a-again..."

His hiccuped by now and he couldn't get himself to continue. 

Kaito finally understood why the other was that void and why the other questioned him. Everything made sense to him. The door opened and Saguru walked inside. He gave a pointed look to the note pad. The latter walked up and reading it instantly. The other had an angry look and his expression looked furious as walking out of the room with the note pad. There was as well determination in his eyes. Kaito trusted the other to make them pay. He knew that Saguru would do anything to get the two behind bars and away longer behind bars. 

'I hope that now you finally find peace Shinichi. I won't let anyone harm you anymore...'

That was a promise, he made himself. He wouldn't let anyone harm Shinichi anymore. Not as long as he was there and living.
