Horse farm and a traumatized Shinichi (Shinkai)

Chapter 7

The silence grew and the Sapphire eyed male got more anxious, not knowing what to say. Sometimes he hated being like this, but it was something that he couldn't change that soon. The only sound has been heard the cutting and soon footsteps approached and the sound of a chair right in front of him moving. His head was looking down at Watson who was snuggling with him.

"Shinichi, you doing alright?"

His head went up and seeing a concerned Kaito. It felt strange to see Kaito show his emotions without that poker face.

"Y-yeah..."

The other male didn't believe him really and he felt himself fidgeting.

"How about I show you around?"

That made him feel relieved that he didn't point it out.

"C-could w-we d-do t-that t-tomorrow? I fe-feel s-still too o-overwhelmed..."

The other didn't really mind it and agreed to show him tomorrow. It was decided that he wouldn't start tomorrow with work. As it could be a bit too much. The next day came, but his sleep was horrible. (Not because of nightmares but because him trying not to sleep) In the end, he still slept 6 hours, and for once there weren't any nightmares. At least it was a bit more bearable as Kaito really did sleep in the same bed. It made him feel so much better. So after they have changed clothes, eaten breakfast with Saguru both began to walk around.

(I just had to make a small time skip as it seemed a bit too long XD)

The farm was relatively big. He was shown around and Kaito told him enthusiastically about the place and about the cute rabbits he has. The other dogs were around them, which made him blink. They didn't go anywhere and stay near him. There were some people, ranging from male to female and one of them walked up.

"Hello Kaito-san, I assume that he will work here?"

The female has auburn hair at mid-neck length and greyish blue-eyed color. The female seemed to look at him in a kind way, but he wasn't that comfortable. Lucky the female seemed not like the blond woman. Whenever he sees blond-haired female he gets his flashbacks.

"Yeah, he is like you from that case."

The female's eyes narrowed now and he could see that she looked angry. It made him hide behind Kaito's subconsciously, not realizing it. He was scared that she would do something to him.

"Oh god sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. Tell you what, I was in a similar situation like you, they did force me to do stuff."

That was making him peak out and he felt a bit less scared about her. He really should have warned Kaito about his fear of females.

"I u-uh a-am sorry. I j-just a-am not g-good w-with f-females. S-some b-bad t-things h-had h-happened t-to me, w-with o-one of the b-blond d-doctors..."

Kaito posture changed and he wasn't sure what to think about this. The female looked solemn and saddened at what he told them.

"Don't worry. I can guess who it was. I can't believe this. Kaito, she was one of the gruesomest out of the black organization. I am so sorry that you had to go through it."

That made him feel confused. Why was she feeling sorry for him? Why had she apologized for something that she didn't do?

"W-why a-are you a-apologizing? Y-you didn't h-harm me. A-and w-why d-do you k-know a-about h-her?"

The last part was said in a shaky whisper. His body shuddered badly at the thought about everyone who was there. His legs by now felt like jello and his world turned around and he felt himself back at the cell. Back at that horrible place. In front of him was once again that female, her menacing smirk was making his body shake violently.

"Please...stop....don't...come...near me....please don't...hurt me...."

His voice broken, as he choked out. He began to sob as the woman came more near to him....

Kaito instantly felt the aura shift around the other. As soon as he had mentioned them, he knew that something was awfully wrong. His eyes came in contact with the other female who felt guilty.

"Don't right now apologize won't change anything. Next time just don't mention it. You should have known this, after all, you had PTSD as well."

The male was by now on the ground and was rolled together in a ball. He had to act quick, but he wasn't quite sure what he could do. He didn't know what the other went through. But he knew how it was when having his flashbacks.

"Please....stop...don't...hurt me..."

Kaito flinched at the tone, as it sounded so broken so fragile. What these bastards done, making them hate them. This was the first time that someone he knew was affected by the case. The first time and the worst part was that this was his crush who suffered because of them.

The dogs went to the side, and the only one who was still there were two dogs. Watson and the other one was his puddle called Sherlock. Both nudged him slightly, but all that came out was a quiet whimper. He decided it would be best to try and get him back to reality.

So he crouched down and softly yet firmly touching the shoulder of the still curled together male. He needed to be as careful as he could get. The flashback was getting worse and he could hear the other by now saying something that made his blood boil...'don't touch me'....

"Shinichi, listen here. You are not there. You are on a farm, with me Kaito kid. Whoever you see is not here."

But he put it to the side and saying it as soft as possible. This was the first time that he wanted to make the person pay, whoever has done this to Shinichi.

"Shinichi, listen here. You are not there. You are on a farm, with me Kaito. Whoever you see is not here."

He felt a hand gripping his shoulder gently yet firmly, and soon he felt his reality shift back. Shinichi felt nausea and felt like throwing up. He realized that he was rolled together. He slowly sat up and looking around, he felt still the fear in his bones.

"Hey, calm down. I won't hurt you. I guess now I know what I have to try to avoid talking about anything related to it."

Shinichi looked to his side to realize that right next to him was Kaito who looked concerned for him.

"O-oh..."

It was all he managed to get out and then everything turned out black.

Kaito's lip turned out thinned as he felt the other right afterward pass out. He picked the other up and looking at the female who looked more guilty.

"I am going back home, and one other thing. The next time. please don't mention the black org at all. Before I go who did you talk about? You seem to know this woman."

The female instantly answered with a grim look.

"Vermouth, she was known for playing mental games on others. She...I didn't know that it was true, but there were some rumors going on that she was doing none appropriate things to 'subjects' You can guess what I mean with it don't you?"

That made him flinch as he heard what she was trying to tell him. That was something that he didn't want to think of. But now it made sense why he wasn't good with Shiho, or any female at all. With this, he walked away with two dogs trailing after him. He was furious and now he had a reason to get in contact with Hattori that soon. They needed to get this female back behind bars and without Tantei-kun knowledge.
