Horse farm and a traumatized Shinichi (Shinkai)

Chapter 12

He waited and the silence grew until Kaito opened his mouth. Shinichi could see from the posture that the other was tense and looked a bit nervous as well. It made him realize that he was more observant.

"So?"

He tilted his head and confused as he couldn't get why the other would be like this.

"You, won't let this go will you?"

A huff was given as answer as he squinted his eyes more and the latter male was getting more fidgeting.

"Fine, I felt jealous. You happy now?"

His mind stumbled at this as for a moment everything was blank. It took a moment to reboot his mind, and he was utterly surprised as well as confused. Why was the other feeling jealous?

"Why?"

Shinichi blurted out before he could think about the consequences and he felt his cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

"You detectives are way too curious for your own good."

He blinked at this and feeling a bit sheepish. It was something which he blurted out, and it was the truth he was curious.

"You weren't the only one who was jealous..."

Once again he blurted it out, and it made him freak out by now as he put his hands in front of his mouth. Kaito froze on the spot, eyes wide as he gaped like a fish. His entire face was by now a blushing mess. In his panic he dashed outside of the room, throwing the door up and running away.

'I am a moron. Such a moron...'

What was when the other male would reject him now. What was when the other would hate him? Now he probably had destroyed the friendship which started. He ended up inside of Manty's stable. It was subconsciously as he entered and sat down, hugging his knee and burying his face into it.

'Such a moron, I am the biggest moron on earth...'

He felt someone nudge him. His head snapped up and was met with the eyes of a particular animal, Manty.

"Brrr."

He let out a groan and pet Manty who was by now on the ground having the head onto his lap.

"I a-am s-such a-a m-moron M-Manty."

The animal nudged him more and he could see worries in the horse eyes. His entire face was a bright shade of red. He pets the head of the animal and letting out a sigh.

"Tsk, I can't believe that you choose this as a hideout, Vermouth."

His breath hitched as he tensed up. That voice was a male, but he knew this voice Gin.

"Shut up, Gin. No one will realize that we hide here. So what now?"

His throat tightens as he felt himself swallow and on the brink of hyperventilation.

'They found me. They are right next to me. Vermouth will do something to me again...'

His eyes dulled as his mind went blank, and the soft sound of Manty was not noticeable from him.

"Kaito kid will pay, and I want to have my fun with my little favorite subject."

Gin chuckled and he couldn't breathe well anymore. His body was shaking violently and Manty realized that something wasn't right. She nudged him, but his surroundings were shifting as he felt himself back at that horrible place.

Someone let that pain end...

...Why was he back at this horrible hell hole? Someone help me....

"Hoh, look at this subject. He is perfect and we can do whatever we want, after all, he is broken anyway."

His dull eyes looked at the people in white. Yet, he never hates white. As well as an indigo color, like right now he clung on that color. Shinichi knew this wasn't real, but it felt real enough for him.

"We managed to make his healing go way better. Let's try it with this drug, maybe it will make that subject healing way faster."

A needle was felt and soon a pain as well. A quiet whimper escaped out of his mouth, as he felt his body burning more, and soon a loud yell escaped out of his mouth. Soon his surroundings shifted again...

Blue cold eyes met with him and he froze as feeling his mouth getting closed by a hand. He struggled against Gin, but the man was way stronger than him. It made him realize that he was at a different place a bit away from the farm. Had they done something to Manty? Was the horse alright?

"Tsk, now they probably found out about us. So what now?"

He bit the hand hard and there were a few curses escaping out of Gin. Shinichi kicked the other away with all his strength he had and tried to run away, but Vermouth managed to get him. He felt a sudden stinging pain at his leg. That made him trip and land on the ground on with a thud.

'Dammit, Kaito please help...'

The female let out a tsk sound, and his eyes dulled more. Will he end up back there? He wasn't wanting to go back to this place. His breath got faster as he felt tears prick into his eyes.

"My little subject shouldn't fight back, after all, you are just a tool nothing more. And no one will want you. No one loves you. For them, you are just a burden. Let's do something fun."

The female licked her lips. He felt a sudden jolt of his hair as it was making him wince. His eyes widen as he saw what would happen soon. This time it was the female who smirked down on him. His body shook violently as he wasn't moving at all. His eyes dulled more and the female sat on him, as well having both of his wrist held together with one hand. This was it, he wasn't going to fight any longer. He gave up and let whatever they have planned to happen. His eyes closed, and he waited for something to happen, but nothing came.

"Arf."

A sudden bark was heard. And soon he felt the weight on him lifted. When opening his eyes he saw that Vermouth had been pushed by someone with blond hair.

"Kaito get him away now!"

Everything happened way too fast for him to realize what was happening. Someone suddenly picked him up as he was carried away. Right now he was too much in a daze to realize what was happening.

"...inichi?"

He heard someone call him, but he was way too out right now to realize that his name was getting called. Soon he was in front of the farm and seeing police as well ambulance there.

"Is he alright?"

That voice was from someone he knew too well, Takagi. This brought him out, but he was still too shocked.

"Unsure, right now I believe he is in a shock state. I better get him to the paramedics, to let him checked out."

Kaito sounded concerned and was soon put on a stretcher and he felt himself being checked over.

"Shinichi?"

He blinked as he looked to the side to see a concerned Kaito.

"Do you feel any pain?"

The paramedics asked and his lips turned into a thin line. Right now he was way too calm.

"O-other th-then the g-gazed leg, I d-don't feel a-any pain."

The paramedics decided to take him just in case to the hospital. Kaito was staying with him, as his father was doing something right now and he guessed that he had to do with the two criminals. So they drove there and he was still calm.
