Horse farm and a traumatized Shinichi (Shinkai)

Chapter 13

With Kaito before they found Shinichi...

Dammit, he was such and moron. Why in god's name had he frozen in place and let Shinichi run out of the room? His instinct screamed right now and something felt off. Kaito knew how fragile Shinichi was and he should have expected the other run away. He ran first to the room of Shinichi, but the male wasn't there. The next place was the living room, and he entered, but no sight of Shinichi.

"Where is Shinichi?"

The question came from Hakuba. There was as well Hattori and Kudo-san as well.

"Shit, he ran outside, didn't he? We better hurry, because I have a bad feeling."

All three felt alarmed but weren't questioning for now. But the eyes that bore into him told him that he will get an earful from all three people. There was a sudden sound of a shot and he shivered as his blood run cold. All four ran outside, just to see that Shinichi had been carried away by two aweful familiar people. He grit's his teeth and the three other adults were frozen.

"Kudo-san, please go and check for the animals in the stable as well call an ambulance and police. Me, Tantei-san and Tantei-han will go after them."

That made them unfrozen, as the three started to run after them. A few curses escaped as he felt guilt heavily on him. His breath shook and he was horrified to know what they would do. It took them 5 minutes and he froze there.

"Arf!"

That brought him out, just to see Saguru pushing the blond woman away from Shinichi.

"Kaito, get him out of here now!"

That made him let out a shaky breath instantly scoping the shaken up Shinichi in his arm as running away.

"Shinichi?"

No reaction and he could see that the other was out of it, still conscious but too shocked right now. What made him swallow hard was seeing the dull eyes. Right now they looked like the eyes from that day. The same dull eyes stared blankly at him, and it made him feel so guilty. As he was there, he saw police, paramedics and an animal doctor as well. Kaito guessed that something had happened to one of his horses. Either Sahara or Manty and it made him feel concern bloom for his animals.

"Is he alright?"

Takagi was now running towards him and he shook his head.

"Unsure, right now I believe he is in a shocking state. I better get him to the paramedics, to let him checked out."

Takagi was giving a small nod, but he could see concern flash through the other person's eyes. It was clear why, as the police inspector knew Shinichi well. Every one of the police was looking concerned about the still not responsive Shinichi. As glancing down, he saw his crush a bit more responsive, but he could tell that the latter male was too shaken up. He rushed over to the paramedics and put him on a stretcher. The other stayed unmoved and it was making him more concerned, as there was not any sign of any emotions at the moment. Kaito was sure when the other would get out of that state he would freak out.

"Shinichi?"

Once again, he tried and saw the other blink and staring at him. Right now he wasn't liking how calm Shinichi was. It unnerved him, seeing the latter male that calm and not any emotion was seen on the latter's face.

"Do you feel any pain?"

He wasn't sure how to react and concern just grew more by each moment passing by. Kaito hoped that the female hadn't done anything to the latter male. Just the thought alone of him getting forced onto something made him feel sick.

"O-other th-then the g-gazed leg, I d-don't feel a-any pain."

The voice was eerie calm, and he was not sure what to do. As the paramedics were telling him that they would go with him to the hospital, just to let him get checked out thoroughly made ask them that he could stay with the latter male. The paramedics were letting him, as they could see that he wouldn't budge away. So they drove towards the hospital. His phone buzzed to see a message from their group chat.

Operation finding these bastards and making their law sentence longer.

Sherlock fan: How is he?

Annoying magician: He is right now too shaken up, am on the way to the Beika hospital

Screaming moron: Tsk, what is up with the names? Anyway, we got them. They got just arrested, one of your horses is in a critical state and was brought to the animal hospital just now.

Kaito mused at the names, and he smiled softly as he knew who it was. Saguru was mischievious and he mused about it. It seemed to work well as the Osakan seemed to irked.

Sherlock fan: My bad couldn't resist. Anyway, do you think you can get Shinichi to talk? The police will need to hear what happened. They are fine with you telling them.

Annoying magician: Pff, of course. Anyway unsure. I can try, but right now I don't want him to force into talking about it. You and I know how bad it can be.

With this, he put his phone away. His eyes glanced at Shinchi who was still quiet, but he saw a fear bubble into him.

'Finally some kind of reaction.'

He was taking the hand softly from the male and squeezing reassuring.

"I am sorry, and I will try my best to protect you from now on. I should have known that they would try something that soon."

Shinichi froze for a moment and he could see the eyes of the other widen at him. By now they were almost at the hospital.

"Y-you- I-..."

The other couldn't get himself to talk and Kaito could guess that it was way too big of a shock for the other male.

"Don't force yourself to talk. I am just glad that we got to you before anything worse could happen."

Kaito could see the other tense up, and as well swallowing was seen. With this, they arrived at the hospital as he followed them. He had to wait in the waiting room, and he told the paramedics not to get a female doctor as the other had a fear of females.

'I hate waiting...'

A sigh escaped as he felt him just more guilty than before. Soon an arm was around, as he glances at the person, he saw that it was Saguru.

"He will be alright. Shinichi is stronger then he looks like. But now to a different topic, why in god's name had Shinichi run out the house, hm?"

The tone was curious, but there was as well some accusation hearing in it. This made him shrink down, as he felt more horrible.
