It was now a few minutes later and Shinichi had by now calmed down. They both laid in each others arms silently. He felt relaxed, not just because of the scent of the other male, but as well of the calm and steady heartbeat.

"Are you better?"

He nodded as not saying anything, just wanting to stay here.

"Good, you want to eat something?"

The voice of Kaito was soft, as asking him this. There was a pause as he thought about it, but he wasn't feeling in particular hungry. Yet Shinichi knew that he needed to eat at least something small.

"I d-don't feel a-any h-hunger r-right now. M-maybe s-something s-small w-wouldn't be t-to bad."

Kaito let go by now of the hug as he saw that the male was stretching himself. He on the other hand was not moving.

"Alright, I will get something small. How about we just relax for today? I don't want to stress you out more."

That sounded like a plan to him, and he wasn't really in the mood to get outside and do something. The fear was still there that he could get suddenly attacked when going outside.

"T-that w-would b-be g-good."

Soon he saw that Kaito walked out of the room and sudden loneliness hit him hard. Why was he feeling like this? It was making for him no sense and huffed out feeling annoyed at himself. At least the medicine finally helped him.

"Bark!"

He jumped slightly up as hearing the bark of a dog. As looking to the side, he saw Watson wagging his tail. His hand pat right next to him and the dog jumped up instantly snuggling into him. It was making him giggle and going through the fur of the cute dog. The loneliness vanished with this.

Around 15 minutes later, footsteps were heard. His head turned to the direction to see that Kaito entered with a tray in his hands.

"Sorry took me a bit longer. It seems like the journalists and TV morons have found this place. Jeeze, can't they realize that this is not alright."

Kaito huffed out as walking up to him. Soon afterward the tray was put in front of him. It was a bit amusing to him hearing Kaito complain about the people who tried to have an interview with him.

"Can you believe- are you listening Shin-chan?~"

The last part made him choke on his food as hearing that familiar nickname. Kaito froze as a blush was seen on his cheeks. Kid tended to call him this at his heist. That time it irked him, and it was coming out of nowhere. But he wasn't minding it as much as he thought it would, it was the opposite of it: he kind of liked that nickname. It was a long time ago that someone called him this, other than his mother who called him this. It ended in him having a coughing fit and Kaito having to pat his back.

"W-what d-d-did y-you j-just c-c-call m-m-me?"

His stuttering got worse as his face ending up in a bright shade of red. It was embarrassing for him, that Kaito was calling him this.

"I am sorry. It slipped out before I realized what I said."

When turning to the side he saw a sheepish Kaito with a small blush on his cheeks.

"I-it's a-alright, j-just unexpected..."

By now the food was finished and there was an awkward silence between the two. It wasn't just this, but as well what happened yesterday. Shinichi at that time was full of doubts because of Vermouth. But now that he was calm again, he wanted to hear it again. He wanted to hear that the latter male really had meant it at that time.

"K-kaito?"

He felt nervous and his heartbeat was getting a bit faster. The male next to him blinked and hummed as waiting for him to continue.

"Y-yesterday, d-did y-you r-r-really m-m-mean i-it?"

Kaito's head snapped towards him. At first, the expression was surprised, but it changed soon afterward into a soft one.

"Yes, I meant it. I really love you. I realized this after your kidnapping, how much I really loved you. I regret it that time not telling you. It was too late and I feared that I would never see you again. You know I was horrified to hear that it had really been you. But I felt glad to know that you are alive."

The voice of Kaito was soft, and he could hear how much sadness the voice held. It wasn't just the voice, the expression showed it. His heart skipped a beat and now he saw that Kaito really meant it.

"Y-you s-sure t-that y-you l-love s-someone w-who i-is t-that b-broken?"

Kaito sudden pulled him into a hug, which led him to yelp in surprise. It came unexpected and he felt his heart burst through his chest. It wasn't just this: he could hear the other male's heart thumping as fast than his.

"Doesn't matter to me at all. You are still Shinichi, and for me, I don't care that you are right now like this."

It was making him feel butterflies in his stomach. Shinichi wasn't really sure how to react to this. The hug was left and by now he was a flustered mess, feeling his cheeks burn.

"We can wait. I don't want to rush anything. We have time and one thing I can promise you. I won't ever leave you. Not after I finally have found you again."

This was making him speechless as he felt his entire face lit up in a bright shade. It wasn't what he said that made him more flustered: no it was the bright smile that the other male in front of him gave him. A cough was heard, and as he turned his attention to the door, he saw both of his parents, Hattori, as well as Saguru. All four had a grin on their lips, other then Saguru and Hattori who smirked.

"Hoh, how bold."

"No, this was smooth Hattori not bold."

Soon the two detectives started bickering and Shinchi was lost. His parents, on the other hand, were silent until now.

"I hope you will take good care for my cute Shin-chan.~"

The female chirped and he was starting to get uncomfortable. That was why he hid behind Kaito. It was the normal reaction whenever a female was near him or when talking. A shudder was making its way over his body at the thought about yesterday. It seemed, that he was back at the beginning.

"I told you not to do this, Yukiko. I know you are happy for him, but I explained to you that you should be careful."

That was the voice of his father, but he wasn't looking, nor was he planning to peak out. It was right now way too much. Just seeing his mother, and talking made his body shudder.

"Sorry, but mr. Kudo is right. I am sorry, but I don't think that right now is a good idea that you are here."

He felt him suddenly being moved, and arms hugging him. Shinichi buried his head into Kaito's chest.

"Ah, I am sorry. I wasn't meaning to make him uncomfortable."

Right now he felt bad, but it was just something that right now he couldn't change the uncomfortableness towards females. One thing was clear, Shinichi probably could never end up in a relationship with females.

"I know, but you and I know how he is right now. Give him a bit time, after yesterday I am not surprised that he is back to how he was."

It was something that made sense and in the past, he had hidden behind his father, whenever his mother appeared. And this time it was Kaito who he had hidden behind. The male was someone who he can trust to some extent. It was probably as well that Kaito really seemed to love him back. It made it a bit easier for him to trust the other male. Soon his mother left and he was alone with the four other people, his father, best friend, Saguru and Kaito.
