Adam was headed over to James' house on a cold November afternoon.

He had been having some struggles in math, and had asked James if he would help him out a bit.

They lived far enough away that Adam had to drive, and snow was lightly dusting the ground as he made his way over.

Once he reached the house, he parked his car on the curb, grabbed his backpack, and locked the car before walking up to the front door.

Knocking lightly on the wood, Adam waited for a couple seconds before the door swung open to reveal a nicely dressed James.

His outfit consisted of a light blue long sleeved sweater, and black ripped jeans, with reindeer socks on his feet, which Adam found quite amusing.

James' face lit up slightly when he saw who was a the door, and quickly ushered him inside to get out of the cold.

"You can sit on the couch while I get my math book real quick" James said, rushing down a hallway to what Adam presumed was his bedroom.

Adam followed James' advice, and plopped down right in the middle of the couch, reaching into his backpack to take out the heavy Algebra 2 book.

James came racing back in, a large book in his arms now, and plopped himself down right next to Adam.

"Sorry about that," James said shyly, "I should really keep it in one spot so I know where it is next time."

"It's fine. I forget where half of my stuff is most of the time." Adam replied, smiling slightly at James' awkwardness.

James smiled back, and they sat there smiling at each other, until James seemed to remember what Adam was here for.

"So, um, what exactly was confusing for you?" James asked, looking down at his math book again.

Adam look down at his book as well, before answering with,

"I have absolutely no idea how to do Synthetic division."

James chuckled lightly at that, and started instructing Adam how to write the numbers, and how exactly to plug them into the division bar.

Once those problems were done, they moved onto the quadratic formula, how to plug the numbers into it, and how to solve it.

Adam was learning much faster than in class, and he became so focused on learning and James, that neither of them seemed to notice the amount of snow falling down outside.

Around 1 in the afternoon, they decided to take a break from studying, and order some lunch.

James' parents were out of town, and had left him some money for the week for meals and such.

Just as he was about to call a pizza place, though, he looked out the window and practically dropped his phone.

There was a good 2 and a half feet of snow outside, and the sky was white with all of the flakes still falling from the sky.

"Guess we're not getting pizza today." James said, still in shock from seeing so much snow.

Adam walked in at that moment, and just managed to catch what James was saying.

"What? Why is there no pizz- oh." Adam's eyes widened in surprise at the giant white mound on the ground outside.

"Adam, do you by chance know how to cook?" James asked hopefully.

"I can make some mean ramen, but that's about it."

"Ok so that's a no." James said, laughing lightly.

"Hey! I can also make Mac and Cheese." Adam pouted.

"Mac and cheese it is."

James got out the box and pan, and Adam got to work making it.

The snow outside wasn't slowing down anytime soon, and Adam was worried that his car would freeze shut or cave in from the piles of snow outside.

Adam felt a slight buzz in his pocket, and fished his phone out, before looking at who texted him.

It was his mother, asking if he was ok. Adam replied with a yes, and that they didn't need to worry about him.

His mother was relieved, but told him not to come home until the plow trucks came by.

James lived on the edge of the city, which meant that the plow trucks would come there last.

With the amount of snow on the ground, Adam doubted they would even come that day.

"Hey James, can I stay the night?"

Adam called out to the living room, and James answered with a simple "Sure"

After a couple of minutes, the macaroni and cheese was done, and Adam plopped them into two bowls.

Taking the red bowl for himself, he found the utensils drawer, and but a fork in both bowls.

Walking into the living room, he sat down next to James again, handing him the blue bowl and his fork.

"Thanks" James said, taking a large bite of the food and sighing with pleasure at the cheesy flavor.

They decided to turn on some Netflix, and watch some random movies they thought looked good. (Including Frozen. They thought it was funny.)

They spent the rest of the day watching different movies, playing some board games, and eating whatever they could find for dinner.

Halfway through their 6th movie, Adam realized just how late it was getting, and decided he would go to bed after they finished this movie.

James, on the other hand, apparently couldn't wait until the movie was over, and fell asleep right then and there.

His head rested on Adam's shoulder, and he subconsciously snuggled a little closer to Adam's warm side.

Adam was blushing like crazy, and trying not to look at the adorable sleeping figure right next to him.

Deciding that the position James was in couldn't be comfortable, Adam slowly moved them both into a more comfortable position.

Now they were both laying down on the couch, James' head on Adam's chest, and their legs tangled together, with a blanket covering both of them.

Adam's eyelids began to droop, and he nuzzled his face into James' hair before succumbing to slumber.
