Dinner consisted of tacos, and my family asking about Adam and I.

We followed the storyline, but soon realized that we hadn't quite planned for all of the questions they asked us.

"When did you first realize you wanted to date him?" My sister asked, a gleam in her eye growing the longer we talked.

"Um I guess when I first met him." I said, making up a story as I said it.

"I guess it was just his personality. And the way he was so caring when he helped me. It didn't feel awkward or anything. Like it was meant to be."

After I say this, I realize that what I had just said, wasn't really made up like I thought it was. I really believed that.

I was so focused on what I had just realized, that I didn't notice the fact that I was still rambling on.

"Just being around him really makes you feel happy. His smile always makes even the saddest person feel better. I've witnessed it myself. His eyes always have this sort of gleam to them that makes him look like he knows something you don't, and he wants you to work to find out what it is. He has this general love for everything around him. Especially animals. Being near him makes my day better."

I soon registered that I had just said all of that out loud, (a little too late, I might add) and looked around the table at everyone's stunned faces.

Even Adam looked genuinely surprised.

Whoops.

Suddenly, my mom started smiling widely, her eyes looking glossy.

"Oh no mom please don't cry." I say, feeling a bit guilty about making this happen.

"I'm sorry. I'm just so happy that my son found such a great guy." She replies, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.

Soon, everyone starts to come to from their shocked states, and the dinner continues on with a bit of small talk, and the occasional story here and there.

Eventually it came time to head in for the night, and Adam and I went upstairs to get ready for bed.

It was at this time that my brain started panicking again.

I'm sharing a bed with Adam. I'm sharing a bed with a really attractive guy that is pretending to be my boyfriend. How did my life come to this?

Shoving these thoughts to the side of my brain, I quickly put on my pajamas, and slipped under the covers of the bed.

As I was finally calming my racing heart, and had just started dozing off, I heard Adam quietly open the door, and slip under the covers on the other side of the bed.

Which started my heart racing all over again.

It's fine you'll be fine it's a queen sized bed, so there's plenty of room right?

These thoughts and my heart persisted for around a half an hour, and I didn't realize how fast I was breathing, until Adam put a hand on my shoulder, and shocked me out of my mental breakdown.

"Are you ok?" There was worry etched on his face.

"Y-yea." I answered softly. "I guess I'm just a little worried about this whole thing."

Adam smiled with a knowing look on his face, before answering with, "its going to be ok. We've made it this far. Just 24 more hours to go."

I nod my head, and turn back around, closing my eyes to get at least a little bit of sleep.

Waking up to the sound of someone banging on the door isn't the most pleasant way.
