Happy Valentine's Day y'all here's another chapter.

Adam's pov

It was finally the day I had been waiting for, for a long 3 years.

I was marrying the man I love.

The room for the ceremony had been all set up hours prior, with professional vendors and wedding planners taking care of our every need.

Gold and blush pink ribbons were strung along the library shelves, popping out against the dark wood.

Our guests were already seated in the soft white chairs in front of the altar, and the priest was in position and ready for the ceremony to commence.

I was quickly placed at the end of the altar, underneath a lace heart, with a "J + A" symbol on it.

The music began playing, and the bridesmaids and groomsmen came down the aisle and stood in their designated spots next to the altar.

Half of the girls were wearing light blush pink halter top dresses, and the other half were in similar gold dresses. The men accentuated their black suits with gold or blush pink bow ties.

Finally, it was time for the ceremony to begin.

The music began to play the wedding march as everyone rose from their seats in the audience.

He walked down the aisle with such beauty, I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

His usual messy hair was styled ever so slightly with gel to help it stay in place, and he was wearing a cream suit with a blush pink tie.

He approached the altar slowly, stepping with the beat of the slow music from the hidden speakers, tears glowing in his eyes the closer he came to me.

His and my smile grew with each step he took, with tears already beginning to flow down my face at the mere sight of such a beautiful man.

Finally, finally, he stood in front of me at the altar, the tears now flowing freely down his beautiful face.

Various sniffs were heard from the audience as well, most likely coming from our parents, as the audience sat once again for the ceremony.

It was time. The moment I had been waiting so long for was finally here.

I was about to marry the man I love.

The priest did the usual reading as always, but I hardly heard as I focused on the beauty in front of me.

"If anyone objects to this union, speak now or forever hold your peace."

The line came and went with no interruptions.

Finally, it was time to say our vows.

"Adam Ortiz, I have loved you for as long as we've known each other. You've always been by my side though thick and thin, and have always taken care of me when I needed you most. I could think of no other person I would rather spend the rest of my life waking up next to." He said.

I spoke through the emotion in my chest as best as I could.

"I always knew you were going to be the one for me. Being with you made me feel a certain way that I just couldn't describe, until you finally asked me out, and I realized that I was in love with you. I promise to always be there for you, through all your struggles and hardships, and I know you'll do the same for me.

"I have, and will always love you, Jason Williams."

The priest spoke again,

"And without further ado, I now pronounce you groom and gro-"

He was cut off with a loud bang from the front door.

"WAIT!"

Jk I'm not that mean

James stood at the end of the hallway, disheveled and sweaty. He was clearly out of breath and it looked like he'd run the whole way here.

"I," he takes a deep breath, "object. Man, running is hard."

If I wasn't in complete and utter shock, I would probably laugh at his comment.

"So, uh, I know this is a bit short notice, but I've kinda been in love with you for years, but never told you? So I kinda decided that this was my last chance to give it my best shot. Now that I say that I realize that it probably wasn't the best idea to wait for the actual wedding to tell you."

James walked down the aisle as he muttered on, coming to a stop at the first wood step to the altar.

Jason spoke first, with a hint of anger to his tone.

"Why exactly are you doing this right now? It's not like it's going to change anything."

James seemed unfazed and retorted with,

"Well why don't you ask Adam?"

The crowd seemed to shift its gaze to me, all of them waiting for an answer.

I desperately tried to respond, to speak at all, but nothing came out.

Jason seemed to realize my dilemma, and spoke for me.

"He's perfectly happy with me. He made his choice when he said yes to me. If you really cared about him, you would walk out that door, and pretend like this never happened."

James seemed defiant, and didn't move an inch when he spoke again.

"Well then let's leave it up to Adam." He turned to me. "At midnight tonight, you'll know where to find me. If you don't show up, I'll know what choice you made."

He turned on his heel, and headed right back out the door again, leaving as if nothing had just happened.

I was left with a choice.

It was by far the most difficult choice I'd ever had to make.

How was I suppose to choose between my wonderfully supportive 3 year partner, and the man I thought was a long lost love?

We postponed the ceremony, for the time being, as we all tried to collect ourselves, and as I tried to complete the hardest task I had yet to face.

Jason Williams. The man I didn't deserve, the good, kind man, that wanted me for all of my flaws and talents, and who seemed to really see me.

Or James Rallison. The boy I had pined after for years and years, and ultimately given up on in the end.

I thought I had finally pushed away my feelings for James. I thought I had moved on when I said yes to marrying Jason.

Jason seemed to be the strong, reliable husband that everyone would love to have.

But there was just... such a thrill to James that I couldn't quite extinguish even after all of these years.

I made my choice.

At the stroke of midnight I met James by the lake.
