Cassian's pov

I could not belive that I was taking Nesta to the place that became my first real home after I met my brothers.

I still didn't know what Nesta ment to me and what this pull towards her was.

I don't think I love her, and I know it's not a big deal but I know what it's like to kiss someone that means nothing to you.

And after kissing her on the battle fields I know that she dosent mean nothing.

But trying to get passed her hard exterior will be harder than facing Amren on her worst day, after putting salt in her blood.

Though she dosent drink it anymore anyway.

Nesta was as unmoving as a stone in my arms as we flew through the Illyrain mountains.

I looked down and found her watching the mountains going past us.

"Nice view isn't it?" I asked her trying to get her to just talk to me.

She just rolled her eyes and didn't answer.

"I know that this is not what you wanted, and the only reason that you are here I'd because of Feyre."

She looked down, an almost shameful gesture, I carried on.

"But I hope that you can find some peace from the war."

She looked up quickly, a scowl on her face, shocking me.

" You don't understand anything, and you never will. Because you are just a dumb half-bread basturd and could never understand anything that really meant something! "

She yelled at me with a rush before stopping.

I tried not to let the words hurt.

She pushed against me, but I held her tighter, and swooped down to a glade surrounded be trees in the mountains.

We landed and Nesta pushed out of my grip.

"Where are we? This isn't the camp."

I have her my best 'no kidding' face.

"I know I'm going to leave you here till you calm down, I really don't apreceate you disrespecting me like you just did."

She cursed at me but I was already flying of to the cliff I knew looked over the glade.

I couldn't believe that she really meant what she was saying at the moment.

This was all out of a constant place of rage that lived in her.

I didn't think that I could get her to change, but the women that I had kissed on the battlefields wasn't the same one that I had just left in a glade.

The women that I had started to fall in love with was fearless in protecting her own, and strong in her beliefs.

Not the mean, cold ditch of a women that had just called me a bastard.

Feyre's task seemed a lot bigger now than it had when she had explained it to me.

I looked down to where I could now see Nesta, with her knees pulled up and her face in her hands.

I could hear her whimpers and almost smell the salty tears as the fell from her eyes.
