The sun had already risen over the flat rice fields in front of Plan, when he crawled out of the tent. He stretched lazily a few times and made himself comfortable on the picknick blanket.

What a peaceful morning!

He smiled to himself.

It had been the right decision to come out here. It wasn't exactly home, the land here was too flat for one thing, and the forest around them not thick and wild enough, but it was infinitely better than the noise of Bangkok. And not just that – Plan felt light, refreshed.

Satisfied.

While he started to rekindle the burnt-down fire with new wood, he hummed softly to himself, thinking back at last night. He hadn't been aware how wound-up he had really been. Not just regularly tensed-up due to all the difficult adjustments he had had to go through since he had arrived in Bangkok... now that they had done... it, he realised that he had been frustrated in that department, too.

Sure, he had relieved himself plenty, whenever he could find enough privacy not to risk getting interrupted... and after every brave excursion into the abyss of advice on the internet as well. But until now, he hadn't truly understood how much he had craved the real thing, real contact... and his ridiculously hot and handsome boyfriend, specifically.

Now he was fine.

His stomach grumbled.

Okay, maybe he wasn't entirely fine, yet.

They had packed for both dinner and breakfast when he had prepared the getaway with Tio's help yesterday. But then, of course, Mean and he had preferred to eat each other instead of having dinner.

Thank heavens for cool boxes. He hoped that the cooling elements had lasted through the night – he was starving, and now that the fire was crackling in front of him again, he was determined to prepare a feast for himself and for the sleepyhead inside of the tent.

Luckily, he had watched his grandma plenty of times while she prepared food over an open fire, and he had occasionally helped the villagers with food preparation, too, when they had needed all hands on the rice terraces while he was visiting home during a rare weekend off from school.

The air around him soon started to smell of delicious spices alongside the faint smoke from the fire, and Plan began to wonder if he should check on Mean inside the tent. It wasn't normal to sleep through breakfast preparations like this, was it?

Maybe yesterday's activities had worn Mean out more than he had thought at the time?

Plan remembered asking him how he was feeling, and Mean had all but laughed at his worries. He had even demanded more, once they had settled inside of the tent; and he had turned down Plan's tentative offer to at least give his butt a bit of respite and switch it up.

That was another unexpected turn last night had taken.

One of the reasons, other than curiosity, that had driven Plan onto his expeditions into the depths of the internet, as well as to the pharmacy to stock up on lube and condoms, had been the expectation that he would be the one suffering if they weren't properly prepared.

Neither of them had been overly enthusiastic about the idea of offering their butt to the other before it had happened, and Plan had naturally assumed that he would lose the argument in the end, if push came to shove. Mean had too many advantages: he was taller and more muscular than him, he was richer, and Plan was basically living off of Mean's family's good graces. If they really couldn't agree, it would always be Mean's choice in the end.
